Strange idea, really wouldn't expect that, absolutely love it, certainly would be a odd battle.

It typically manages to mill out around 7-8, which is pretty average for even a blue mill deck. It certainly is entertaining, I'll tell you. +1? They are appreciated!

-1 Sands of Delirium +1 Decimator Web ??

Seems Like Decimator Web is a more reliable card... As well as one you would not mind drawing multiple of, Sands of Delirium on the other hand....

Also while I have not play tested this Deck against an actual opponent... (yet)... A passing glance suggests adding just a few more fog effects. This is just speculation and my opinion however.

Awesome Deck Overall. +1'd

P.S. I would fill sideboard with alternate win cons in case your opponent is "Mill-proof"

I considered the side-board suggestion as well, but the only thing I can think to add would be some Elixir of Immortality . Since the Decimator Web has three built in win-cons, I don't really need anything else. And I would get some more, but this deck isn't a priority and my local card shop didn't have any copies. This was something I had all the pieces for just laying around, so I threw it all together. I played it against my roommate's standard exalted, and a different friend's U/B Control, and I actually won both matches. Pumping excess mana into the Sands of Delirium works well in conjunction with the Decimator Web s. I can typically manage to mill 15-20 cards by turn 6 (granted with a perfect defender ramp, but still). For a $30 deck it works surprisingly well! :D

I think he meant alternative win-cons against things like Witchbane Orb that prevent you from targetting your opponent or Pithing Needle to stop you activating your wincons.

You could always side in huge fatties against that sort of thing, or more fogs and the Elixir of Immortality you already mentioned and just wait for them to draw themselves to death...

I know it is off color but Doorkeeper does what you want, basicaly a Sands of Delirium that is on tribe. Axebane Guardian already produces any color mana.

Traproot Kami should be better than Wall of Vines in most situations, since you're playing the long game. Plus, it counts opponents' Forest s.

@volcomstone2892: Wow! Traproot Kami would be amazing for this deck! Thanks for the recommendation, I tend to forget about Kamigawa block because I was playing a whole lot at that time. Putting it in the maybeboard for now, but definitely making the change when I get my hands on some!

This is such a great idea! Not only that but, green allows you access to so much many to dump into Sands of Delirium . My only suggestion may be to add white or blue for some artifact search.

What abput Slaughter Games ? Decks with the colors of this card tend to AT LEAST sideboard for card removal. how do you intend to deal with those?

@matbyrne: Yeah, the ramp from the defenders can get pretty big pretty quick, but I find that Decimator Web is the better draw. Spending 4 mana to mill 6 is better already, but add in the lose two life and a poison counter and that gets obnoxious quick! It is the MVP of this deck, with the Sands of Delirium augmenting the mill with the excess mana. And at first testing I splashed blue for Doorkeeper , Mind Sculpt , and Fabricate , but I found the mono-green to be more consistent. And with all the bonus draw per turn from the Rites of Flourishing and Howling Mine , it doesn't usually take too long to find at least one Decimator Web or Sands of Delirium , while simultaneously forcing my opponent to draw along with me. That REALLY helps the mill along, whereas blue can have a hard time forcing that much draw. :) It is a REALLY fun deck to play!

@Carpediem: well, what would YOU recommend? The biggest reason I joined TappedOut was for feedback and recommendations. What do you think would work well in the sideboard? I've been toying with the idea of Sheltering Word for anti-removal. Get some life and protect my mana-dorks, but I feel like there's a better option out there somewhere.

The biggest problem being tha Slaughter Games is a sorcery. My best bet atm is Witchbane Orb but im not 100% that is a solied strategy

Slaughter Games isn't about removal, but prevention.

Also, i have this preconception that it is better for the creator to think of ideas before consulting others. It can help train the mind. I'm not saying that you aren't experienced, but it's not like i have a way of knowing. either way, im still glad i could help.

Vines of Vastwood is my green protection option. Has yet to fail me yet, also, casting it on your opponent's creatures causes them to not be able to target their own creature. sometimes breaks their combo.

You could add Otherworld Atlas in place of Cultivate it'd be a finisher or draw engine for you as well. You have plenty of Mana producers as it is.

Id also appreciate a look at my deck liliana for the win +1 from me though for a green mill deck.
