This deck is built around Laboratory Maniac, a card which seems like a lot of fun, but I've never played with. Many Maniac decks seem to focus on a combo to immediately exile/mill your own library. It's an efficient strategy, but I also find it a bit boring.

The goal with this deck is a little more interactive. Draw a ton of cards, and then take advantage of the fact that you'll lose them at the end of the turn to play Madness spells.

Major Cards:

• Obviously, the most important one is Laboratory Maniac, as he's the main win-con.

• I'm most proud of the combo of Immobilizing Ink + Prophetic Ravings , which is where this deck gets its name. It gives a good supply of card discard and card draw, particularly once Archive is out. Early game Ink can be used for its original purpose, paralyzing opponents' creatures.

• Similarly, Puresight Merrow combos well with Prophetic Ravings, providing self-mill and card filtering as long as you have {U}.

• Alhammarret's Archive is major support for the self-mill strategy when I get it out. Using it with Fateful Showdown provides a good way to refill your hand.

• I've tossed in Conflagrate as an alternate win-con, particularly in combination with Alhammarret's Archive + Fateful Showdown .
