Forget 2 $5 Footlongs; 2 $5 G/W Heroic Wins

Modern Budget Casual GW (Selesnya)

mtgirem

Very inexpensive and extremely card efficient deck.

Most of it speaks for itself.

Heroic Triggers:

Prey's Vengeance is instant speed and can trigger heroic on 2 different creatures (or the same creature on two different turns) for just 1 green mana.

Reap What Is Sown triggers heroic on 3 creatures in one turn in addition to giving important counters for just 3 mana.

Seeds of Strength is a cheaper, but less powerful version of Reap What Is Sown but still acts as a 3x heroic buff at instant speed for 2 mana.

Travel Preparations can trigger heroic on 2 different creatures then flashback for 2 more for only 2 mana a piece. It could also be used to trigger heroic twice on the same creature in a turn if you have 4 mana floating around.

Launch the Fleet can make a very powerful finisher if you've somehow let the game go late.

All of these heroic triggers tend to add versatility and card value at low mana costs. I've tried to get the most bang for your buck both in terms of mana and a card slot.

Decks like these tend to be rather open to removal, but Tethmos High Priest can recover everything but himself, Dawnbringer Charioteers , and Anthousa, Setessan Hero

I'm a new player so suggestions are welcome as long as they aren't terribly expensive.

Updates Add

I read through all the suggestions and am going to overhaul it a little. The price will make it 2x $5 footlongs when all is said and done, in all likelihood.

OUT:

2x Tethmos High Priest

2x Vanguard of Brimaz

2xPlains

2xForest

2x Oblivion Ring

2x Seeds of Strength

1x Prey's Vengeance

3x Reap What Is Sown

IN:

3x Mutant's Prey

4x Brushland

2x Wild Defiance

3x Emerge Unscathed

2x Hyena Umbra

2x Fabled Hero

Justifications: Needed a little more to protect my creatures and then looked to improve the current creatures. I opted to remove way more Reap What Is Sown rather than Seeds of Strength or Prey's Vengeance because it is a dead card without 3 creatures on the field.

I also opted to completely avoid Blessings of Nature because I can only cast it when I draw it which really limits its versatility. If I only have 1 creature on the field then that has to get all of the counters. If I have no creatures on the field or it's on my opening hand then it's a completely dead card.

This update isn't 100% set in stone, but I think it's a better direction given some feedback. I put a lot of thought into changes so for any further suggestions please suggest what to remove in place of what to add. I'd also like to keep minimum of 18 creatures because this deck seems to be very bad when I only have 1-2 creatures on the field.

I don't like to have to go for some inflation on the initial deck, but people brought up valid points that although I could buff things fast and effectively I had no way to protect them nor could I remove opponents threats outside of an o-ring. I also didn't have much evasion either on attacks. Hopefully this fixes some inherent problems.
