Added 2x Ghost Quarter to the main board for TRON matchups and replaced Dissolve with Disallow because nothing gets past that.

Great start to a budget control deck. I would play Think Twice over Catalog as it is only 2 mana to start, but can be flashed back later in a pinch if you need the extra card advantage.

I don't know how I feel about Dissolve considering it costs 3 mana, but I do know there are better counters out there, such as Logic Knot, Deprive, and Delay.

Thanks for the advice. Catalog is one of the first ones to go. I actually can't decide between Think Twice or Serum Visions. I'm leaning toward visions for the same reason I'm using Dissolve, scry is really important here. What do you think?

I can't afford Snapcaster Mage so I want to be able get the answers that I need. Most of what I'm running in here is to compensate for that, I have to dig since I can't just flashback an answer.

I really appreciate the feedback. It's great to see how others approach the situation. Let me know if you have any other ideas. Thanks again.

Blue_Flame I swapped Anticipate for Think Twice and Serum Visions for Jace's Ingenuity. I'm going for hard card advantage over selection. So far it seems a little faster.

I'm going replace Rune Snag with Remand and Mana Leak with Delay. That ought to make Tranquil Cove a potential 8 life advantage over opponents. Thanks for the feedback. I feel a little better about this big pile of jank. Cheers!

Nothing that can't be solved with Ghost Quarter and Surgical Extraction... one day.

In the meantime, keep calm and Negate, then Gideon beats? Seems difficult to argue with. Love the shell, keep upgrading! Prove to the naysayers that control is for sure viable in Modern! :)

Tbh, Gideon is what I love most about this deck. Between him and AEtherling it's a great win con. I'm also not all in on one particular winner. If all else fails, the Fairies will win... eventually.
