Mirran CrusaderMTG Card: Mirran Crusader with Sword of War and PeaceMTG Card: Sword of War and Peace might as well be cheating.

Same could be said with a turn 3 Mirran CrusaderMTG Card: Mirran Crusader + Angelic DestinyMTG Card: Angelic Destiny lol

Turn 1: Forest, tap to play Birds of ParadiseMTG Card: Birds of Paradise

Turn 2: Plains, tap everything to play Mirran CrusaderMTG Card: Mirran Crusader

Turn 3: Plains, tap mana & bird to play Angelic DestinyMTG Card: Angelic Destiny and swing for 12 in the air.

Just be aware that Angelic DestinyMTG Card: Angelic Destiny falls off if you equip War and Peace to the same creature.

For the sideboard, I would play Crushing VinesMTG Card: Crushing Vines over PlummetMTG Card: Plummet, as it takes out many more targets, and not play Fresh MeatMTG Card: Fresh Meat, as it rarely gets you more than 1-2 tokens. Try more NaturalizeMTG Card: Naturalize or Oblivion RingMTG Card: Oblivion Ring

The best sideboarded Flying-defense is, hands-down, Corrosive GaleMTG Card: Corrosive Gale. Kills Spirits dead. And, in all honesty, Fresh MeatMTG Card: Fresh Meat's not going to do you anything since you're tapping out every turn in Green. I'd just take them out and either go up to a full playset of NaturalizeMTG Card: Naturalize or just add in FogMTG Card: Fog for Wolf Run and other aggressive decks.

Thanks for the suggestions! I had fresh meats in there for board sweepers, but you are right Zandl, 9 out of 10 times im all tapped out. Hmm, what about replacing PlummetMTG Card: Plummet with Corrosive GaleMTG Card: Corrosive Gale, and Fresh MeatMTG Card: Fresh Meat with Creeping CorrosionMTG Card: Creeping Corrosion? At my FNM's, I see a lot of Wolf Run, Delver, Tempered SteelMTG Card: Tempered Steel/ Tezzeret, and WU/UB control decks

I also Use Creeping Corrosions in my Green Deck as well for that same purpose I would switch them out it really helps and a +1 for you.

I played this with a U/B Delver control type deck I was brewing and really enjoyed the matchup. Looks cool. +1 from me :D

looks and sounds like a really powerful deck. love angelic destinies but a freaking pain if your going agaisnt them. i can understand why the elesh norn is in there but what i dont understand is how you could get her out at least decently quickly. but its a good game ender. very good deck. solid build. good job. +1 from me. comments on my decks would be great too. thanx :)

How about Increasing SavageryMTG Card: Increasing Savagery?

March 6, 2012 8:02 p.m.

LaCastle says... #16

What happens if your opponent kills your turn 1 bird? OR if you do not draw it? Perhaps should you consider 4 avacyn's pilgrim as well?

Minousmancer says... #17

LaCastle for why?

March 6, 2012 10:58 p.m.

Surllio, Thanks :D I have a zombie deck too Big Bad Zombies, but I havent put a lot of effort into it so it still needs some work

IAmKingTony, Glad you liked it :D

bbhall89, im glad you like it, I have been putting it together since M12 release. I have put in alot of money and time into the deck and im glad people like what they see.

Salvat1onarmy, Increasing SavageryMTG Card: Increasing Savagery is good, but its a 4 drop and I would rather use Angelic DestinyMTG Card: Angelic Destiny for its flying/first strike.

LaCastle, If I dont get a turn 1 birds, its ok, sure my deck plays a couple turns slower, but it doesnt detract from the lethality of my creatures that much

March 6, 2012 11:42 p.m.

Wow, this is awesome. Great work. I also feel like Liege of the TangleMTG Card: Liege of the Tangle would do awesome in this deck, given you don't have mana problems or anything. +1

March 7, 2012 2:12 p.m.

Alphawolf626 says... #20

I usually have plenty of mana, but Liege is a little too late. By the time comes out, im either winning or too far gone. Thanks for the suggestion and for the +1!

are you sure you're playing the right garruk? the newer one is starting to see more play, and it's removal as well as a wolf generator. i think deck would run smoother with him

termiraider says... #23

i would also find a way to run a fourth stangleroot. maybe cut a blade splicer, o-ring, or vorapede. even though vorapede is my favorite card in set. it rarely works as well as i want it to.

March 9, 2012 2:55 a.m.

jahosephat17 says... #24

i would take out the solemns and the vorapede for 4 avacyn's pilgrim. this deck neeeds the early accelerants and this really ensures mirran crusader turn 2.

also it just does more for you

March 9, 2012 2:56 a.m.

Emrakool says... #25

I've been working on a similar build with less token producers and more focused on beating down opponents before popping Day of Judgment leaving Vorapede and friends unchecked for the kill. Check out Undying Judgment if you get and chance and sweet deck +1!
