A very budget Standard deck based on - you guessed it - gates. My friend made a deck similar to this for Casual(I don't think it's on TappedOut sadly) and I wanted to see if I could adapt it to Standard since most of the key cards were from Guilds of Ravnica or Ravnica Allegiances.

The deck works like this: Play as many gates as you can in the early going. Try not to miss your land drops, since the Gates are going to be slow. Your creatures will be buffed by these gates. Play them, and you can swing for a lot of damage really quickly and win!

• Gatebreaker Ram is the real heavy hitter in this deck, usually coming out on turn 3 or 4. It gets supercharged by gates, and because of the trample, it can get through quite often. Gate Colossus and Gatekeeper Gargoyle can be useful, but only in the late game.

• Glaive of the Guildpact can buff any of the creatures even more.

• Open the Gates and Circuitous Route help get more gates onto the field.

• Aether Tunnel makes your Gatebreaker Ram even more powerful.

• Sheltering Light protects against removal.

• Gates Ablaze kills off your opponents' creatures while keeping yours intact(because your creatures get buffed by the # of gates, so they will survive). Cast Down is just straight up removal.

• Guild Summit keeps your hand full of good stuff so you can keep buffing your ram.

• Plaza of Harmony helps with some early life gain and basically any colored mana.
