I love this, but you die to aggro strategies. Leyline of Singularity would work uber well if you weren't trying to flood the board with Leylines that may have the same name. You could try to be more controlling and add some Counters and board wipes for when SoN isn't online. Though, this deck seems like a bad affinity right now, needing a critical mass of enchantments. You could try to run Honor of the Pure, Greater Auramancy, and Rest in Peace for good stuff.

Serra_Sentinel Hmm. Interesting. I do like these ideas. The problem is that this needs a dedicated enchantment package. You'll need at least 24 enchantments for this ever to work well. Although you can take this in a different direction and run cards like Ghostly Prison, Detention Sphere and the like. And this deck is kinda crap without the power of Enlightened Tutor and Serra's Sanctum. I really do like that Leyline of Singularity though, I completely forgot about it. Maybe a two-of.

Noble Hierarch and the Birds don't do enough in this kind of deck. Sure, they ramp up to the 5CMC combo that this deck wants to have on board, but, that's it. Noble isn't going to get much use of the exalted trigger due to you needing to have an all-out attack plan with the enchantments. Birds is going to remain a 0/1 most of the time.

Yeah, I do know that. I found Trace of Abundance and Fertile Ground to replace that mana ramp. Still, I don't know. It feels like this can go in many different ways, but in the end it just won't be powerful enough. Which is sucky, because this deck would be real cool.

Look at it like this. T2, Auramancy, T3 Honor, T4 Honor/Auramancy/RiP, T5 SoN/Tutor for SoN and play a 2CMC enchant. You can make this a kind of aggressive pillow fort deck (Yes, an aggressive pillow fort).

That sounds awesome. Well, this went away from the whole leyline idea. I'll just make another deck for that then. I do want to stay on the whole leyline plan, to be honest.

You need the Leylines for this to work. At least Sanctity. Maybe Void too. Void says opponent's graveyard and doesn't screw up your SoN for you like RiP does.

So you're just saying add those cards. This may be interesting. I'll add them then and see how this goes.

Ultimately, this is your deck, so you decide what goes in. I'm just giving some advice from me personally. Also, with all of your 4 and 5 CMC enchants, 18 lands isn't enough. Well, IMO anyway.

Well, mana ramp makes that all different. Now that there is no longer that.. I may just end up going into like mono-white enchantment decks because I seriously need some mana ramp.. I'll get this.

If you had more <3CMC enchants, I'd suggest Zur the Enchanter for this as a 3-of. Again, it might have to be more controlling and wouldn't go get your Leylines, but, it is a card.

I was actually thinking about running that route, but I really do like the leyline idea. Thanks for your help, I really do appreciate. My playtests seem to run a little more smoothly, but the deck still needs some speed. I'll get there. This may not be any Tier 1 deck by any means, but it'll do something.

Don't forget to sideboard in extra hateful stuff (Everlasting Torment for Soul Sisters, things like that).

I'll make sure I do that. Thanks!

I like when decks are played outside their normal area, makes things spicey. How does it hold up in modern so far?

No real idea. It really still needs the kinks worked out. Work in progress, at the moment. Just more of an idea. I really would like to make this competitive though. As for now, it will stay Tier 2. The big problem I have noticed is a lack of Serra's Sanctum makes things about 5 turns slower. Which really sucks.

Just saw a Legacy game featuring a Leylines deck. Hope this turns out for the better. I would hella run this list! If money isn't a problem maybe a Noble Hierarch or maybe four would help speed things up because of the lack of Serra's Sanctum?

Also...maybe adding Serum Powder from the legacy version to help you grab all the leyline you want/need without decreasing handsize?

...I really like this idea. =3

Thanks rtangci. I have tried actually both those cards in the deck. Neither really worked. I would have too little enchantments if I had either one of those cards. Either way, I run Birds of Paradise and Utopia Sprawl which are my mana ramp cards. The deck is still slow, but at least it can run. I am not sure if I'll ever build this though. I do prefer the legacy version to any modern take on it.

One of these popped up at my LGS a few weeks ago. It was R/W and played a hard prison/control matchup, using Runed Halo, Ghostly Prison, and Oblivion Ring, etc to draw the game out. The matches were quite grindy but the player did well with it. Not entirely sure if I remember what the red was for, but if all else fails, throw Lightning Bolts!
