I am interested in building a Death and Taxes deck for Legacy, but don't have the money needed to build a top-tier competitive deck. So I'm going to do my best to find things that fit the archetype, but don't cost $20-50 a card and still act either as budget replacements for certain staples, or offer different takes on the same idea.
Now, what is "the budget" you might ask? I don't know. I know that Aether Vial, Wasteland and Rishadan Port are pretty much essential for this deck to be "Death and Taxes" but personally, I don't have $600 to spend on three playsets at the moment, but still love the idea of a aggro/control white weenie deck.
Whatever I build here may not be as efficient as an actual Legacy Death and Taxes deck, but as I gain more pieces for this deck (pieces which are only going to be an investment at this point, since nothing will really go out of rotation for Legacy, or in the case of Aether Vial Modern) it will just get better with time.
If anyone has any suggestions for replacements or other options I may have missed, please leave a suggestion below, it would be greatly appreciated. Not sure about quantities of each card, and I'm not married to the idea of having all of them. I just think having a greater variety of activiated abilities might give me a better toolbox to deal with different threats.
