who is the best enchantress commander?
Commander Deck Help forum

I currently have a Trostani, Selesnya's Voice deck that focuses on tokens. I had it for a few years and because its selesnya it naturally tends to have powerful global enchantments like Parallel Lives Mirari's Wake Mana Reflection Privileged Position etc. Just for fun I want to turn it into an enchantress style deck that revolves around playing powerful enchantment effects. who would be the best for this? selesnya colors are preferred since then I wouldn't have to change my mana base or totally gut the original deck. And I want this particular deck to be fun for everyone so Zur is out.

Personally, I would build a deck around Krond the Dawn-Clad because he is stacked in terms of efficiency: a 6/6 flier for 6 that exiles permanents whenever it attacks as long as it's enchanted AND vigilance? Pretty sweet, if you ask me.

Femeref Enchantress this lady if you want an actual enchantress commander.

is my five-color enchantment tribal deck. There are quite a few selesnya colored cards in it though so it could give you some ideas for your enchantress deck.

AwesomeOctopus,
If you don't mind adding some : Uril, the Miststalker for sure.

Yeah, I'd second clayperce. Uril is pretty fantastic for an enchantress build. I mean sure, you'd need to focus a bit more on auras for Uril itself to be effective, but you could still cram the deck chock full of good enchantments and enchantment support. You don't even need an ass-ton of auras anyway, just cuz there's quite a few ways to get your enchantments back in those colors.

Well would Daxos the Returned be the only/best option if auras didn't count?

Man, I tried and tried and tried to get Daxos the Returned to work, but I couldn't ever get him going enough to be worth it. I'm sure there are better deckbuilders than me that could make something mean with him, but for me, lacking green really cuts out some of the best enchantress support. Could build a mean stax deck with him, though, I suppose, but it'd be fairly limited to that type of build, I'd imagine.

I feel like going junk colors for enchantment support would be the best, but the majority if those commanders are not very enchantment friendly.
Maybe Anafenza, the Foremost? She's cheap, can buff enchantmentresses if you want to attack with them, and it's graveyard hate on a 4/4 body. In those colors you have all the enchantress support you'll need as well.

I'm running Doran, the Siege Tower for my enchantress deck. I wanted to run Anafenza, but I didn't have a copy laying around. That being said, I've been so impressed with Doran. The fact he deals 5 for 3 mana can be really aggressive. Throw on Ancestral Mask or Ethereal Armor, and you can one shot people easily.
Doran also makes some of your enchantress creatures a little better as well, since they typically have a slightly higher toughness than their power, like Mesa Enchantress

I've had this super weird idea as of late for a Karametra, God of Harvests enchantress deck. Use her to get more value out of your Heliod's Pilgrim or Boonweaver Giant, whatever. Ramp into more enchantments. It could be viable.

Saffi Eriksdotter is cheap to cast and recast, and can save your other enchantresses from being murdered.

I would say Selvala, Explorer Returned is regarded as a very good enchantress commander. She draws you cards and ramps you to play the enchantments and draw more so overall just fits the style without having the deck completely revolve around her like Sigarda, Host of Herons.
