Need a good 6 CMC Creature

Commander Deck Help forum

I have been putting together a new combo line for my Saffi Eriksdotter deck which starts with just Saffi, Yisan, the Wanderer Bard and any 1 drop elf dork.

The Yisan line goes:

  1. Starved Rusalka

  2. Priest of Titania

  3. Village Bell-Ringer

  4. Felidar Guardian

  5. Reveillark

From here, between Priest of Titania and your other elf dork you're able to generate infinite green mana thanks to a loop with Saffi Eriksdotter, Village Bell-Ringer and Reveillark with Starved Rusalka as your sac outlet. From there you can swap bell-ringer for Felidar Guardian to convert green mana to white mana.

My issue is that that this only nets me infinite mana, not an actual win condition. I was thinking of using a 6 drop fetch to potentially get me the rest of the way.

I have narrowed it down to Triskelion, Woodland Bellower and Soul of the Harvest as win conditions (the draw engines will get me Blasting Station).

So two questions:

  1. What're people's thoguhts on the viability of the combo, and;

  2. What would be the best 6 drop creature to use in the deck?

What about Soul of Theros

The problem with Soul of Theros is that while it would buff my creatures, I have to have a bunch of other creatures that didn't have summoning sickness that I could buff and even then I would still have to connect with them (since Soul doesn't give trample).

The point of this line is to be able to go from nothing to game over once Yisan hits 3 counters and I would want something more guaranteed.

Woodland Bellower is the most versatile of the three, as it has uses outside combo, since it can fetch any number of Eternal Witness.

I assume you've given all those creatures haste otherwise they won't be able to tap for mana

Wait disregard previous comment. I'm an idiot.

Dragonlord Dromoka could help protect the combo a bit if necessary, and is just a good card to run in general.

Soul of Zendikar / Nemata, Grove Guardian / Urbis Protector creates infinite tokens.

Carnivorous Moss-Beast creates an infinitely big creature.

For what I can tell, without using Auratouched Mage to fetch Boonweaver combo (which, with the other combo, takes up a whole lot of deck space), there is no way to instantly win the game w/out other included cards.

Whoops, read it wrong.

Definitely Woodland Bellower from the three.

So I've had this discussion offline as well and it seems like most people are in agreement that Woodland Bellower is the way to go.

If people are interested, here is the deck:
