Ixalan's first FNM 29/sept —Sept. 29, 2017
I went 3-1 but it was so close almost 4-0.
I was missing some cards but managed to borrow what i needed, i was missing 1 Carnage Tyrant and 1 Regisaur Alpha. put 2 Blossoming Defense in their place and it went swimmingly.
Round 1: Vs Ramunup Red. 1-2.
Due to mainboarding kinjali's sunwing this match up was fine, with removing the Earthshaker Khenra and Ahn-Crop Crasher with Ixalan's Binding the game went very well. Prepare / Fight was boarded in against them and it went fantastic on a Ripjaw Raptor. This is the game i 'lost'. Y'see this person was running Chandra, Torch of Defiance as card draw, and we got to the end of the game, I had lethal on the board, Carnage Tyrant and a few ripjaw raptors and he had chandra and a 1 drop first striker raid guy. (dont recall the name sorry) , I was in bolt range and well....Yeah, he +2 chandra and got a Lightning Strike and won the game. Damn luck that was, so thats why i would consider myself the winner but was technically a loss.
Round 2: Vs Mardu Vehicles 2-0
Heart of Kiran isnt fun :( But i won this match by sheer overpowering them and exiling their flying vehicles. I brought in Forsake the Worldly to exile Heart of Kiran and then it wasn't much of a problem. Keep on the pressure forces them to activate Heart of Kiran as a blocker, so you can kill it that way. Shame we cant fight vehicles.
Round 3: Vs Grixis Pirate Tempo 2-1
I lost the first game to Jace, Cunning Castaway and Heart of Kiran combo. That is very damn strong. I lost g1 to that pretty much, but i brought in Forsake the Worldly and exiled the kiran. The rest of the deck consisted on Captain Lannery Storm and vance's firing range. I got a t4 Carnage Tyrant and that was pretty much game.
Round 4: Vs Bolas god-pharaoh's gift 2-0
Kind of typical Gift deck but i was just quicker and smashed out the games in 5 turns both times. Maybe the opponent just got unlucky?
Ixalan's Binding is amazing, i am going to drop 1 Cast Out for 1 more and the deck ran fine with 2 carnage tyrant and 3 regisaur alpha. The blossoming defense came in handy since all these decks have premium removal, or when they double-triple block the tyrant, just buff it up a liiiiiiiittle bit more. I quite like having 2 mainboard. I'm very happy with how this performed!
brandonsperry25 oh! I'll have to thank them, thanks for checking my list out!
I got one at my pre-release too and agree, really helped stop the game and i won a few games because they didnt remove it and i kept attacking for 2 in the air!
In testing, pirates kept flopping when it came to targetting my hand with Duress type cards, due to the high content of creatures and land in this deck. But having said that, pirates feel quite even compared to dinosaurs, due to their access to black and Hostage Taker (feels so bad when i lose a ripjaw or alpha to them.) To the point where im not sure what kind of cards i should bring in game 2 and 3. Definately something to look out for. I cannot chump their flyers but they cannot trade favorably against my dinos.

I think this is the best Naya Dino deck on TappedOut, and said so in a Comment.
Pirates have a WHOLE lot going on than just Hostage Taker, which can be flickered by the way, to grab more than one Dino.
Dreamcaller Siren causes issues for them, and can also be flickered.
You can check out my take on them here, if you want:

DINOSAURS!!!! I'm so happy Argy turned me onto this deck.
I pulled 1 Kinjalli's Sunwing at the pre-release and it was the MVP of my deck (only went 2-2, but I was happy just playing stompy dinosaurs). Somehow I got it out early and often and it just put the brakes on the pirates I was playing against. At least until they got rid of the sunwing.
I am ready for a dino EDH but this would be a great deck to pilot at FNM's and in my playgroup. I really like what Ixalan is offering and I haven't been this excited about a set in awhile.I look forward to your results in play tests. How is it holding up against those pesky pirates?
+1, Cheers!
