After Journey into Nyx has rolled around, this deck has asked for few changes. Per previous suggestions, a singleton Mind Grind has been added, and I agree with the choice. It provides us a win after people Slaughter Games poor Phenax. I have also replaced the Elvish Mystics with Kiora's Followers. Untapping Axebane Guardian is better than just adding G to the pool in the long run, which is what this deck wants: faster, explosive ramping. A trio of Sigiled Starfish have found their way into the board as well, because when you need combo pieces, moving two bad draws off the top is extremely helpful. Nuts with Prophet of Kruphix, a decent turn 2 (realistically 3) play. Lastly, an Island and Plains have joined the land party for immediate color-fixing with Gatecreeper Vine.

I've also wanted to add another Sphinx's Revelation to the board, but I don't know exactly what to cut at this point. Any thoughts? I will continue to play and refine this deck until it fails to be fun!

I like the list the onlysuggestion id offer is Jace, Architect of Thought over Memory Adept for the slowing of aggro and card advantage since most of your mill is coming from creatures and Phenax

maybe Maze's End as an alternate wincon? also I have a similar deck where I run Axebane Guardian to ramp into a huge Mind Grind (I've milled for over 30 lands on turn 6). so you might want to consider running at least a couple mind grinds. Also if you have Hold the Gates the Prophet doesn't do much.

Neat idea. I would suggest Hover Barrier over Beck / Call . I would also try making room for Mind Grind to utilize the crazy amount of mana you will be generating.

Mana Leak is not standard legal anymore. I foresee problem vsblack since you don't have much removal and you need to get rid of Pack Rat , Lifebane Zombie and Desecration Demon . Since im guessing you dont want board wipe to kill your own dude maybe Spear of Heliod ?

Thank you the first comments!

Maze's End is a card I tried in this deck, but I didn't like it. It feels to me like I want a dedicated turbo-fog/ 5C control deck to make it work properly. I'll play around with 2 Mind Grind . I like it as a mill finisher, and most of the time, mana isn't an issue. I'm only ashamed I didn't think to put it in sooner. Jace, Architect of Thought is another novel suggestion, however I don't know if he'll work. His +1 does absolutely nothing here, but the card advantage he generates is pretty immense. The reason anime Jace is here is extra milling power in the face of heavy board-wipes. However, it'll be worth a test.

Hover Barrier is also an interesting thought. I'd lose the draw power of Beckcall but that's a pretty big butt early game. Maybe a 2/2 split?

Also, the deck went 2-1 at an FNM not too long ago, losing only to a Simic beatdown, which used Elusive Krasis to completely ignore my phat walls, and used Simic Charm to nullify both my Detention Sphere s. You can't win them all, I guess. For now, I test. Thanks to everyone!
