Typhoid Rats and Ruthless Ripper are the base of the deck. Archetype of Courage and Mardu Runemark gives these creatures first strike.

Ankle Shanker can give first strike to creatures that don't have it, and deathtouch to creatures that don't have it.

Madcap Skills and Mardu Runemark help get extra damage done when there are no blockers.

Madcap Skills and Athreos, God of Passage ensure that if a deathtouch creatures does go down, it causes extra damage.

Brutal Hordechief is useful for forcing enemy creatures into their death.
