Hollow One was a pretty weird and cool deck in modern. Some people said it embodied what the game was meant to be, with its bizarre cards, randomness, and creativity. Then Faithless Looting got banned. And the deck fell apart. It's still sort of around, but it's been struggling to do much, and it's gone down to just a red deck with Underworld Breach .

Well, with the release of Strixhaven, historic now has some fancy new tools to wreck house with. Importantly, we got ourselves a Faithless Looting ! Yay! The other cool new card we get to add is Conspiracy Theorist , which honestly just slots into this deck perfectly, and honestly might give the modern version a huge boost too. Other than that, we use the namesake Hollow One , and a few cards that we can cast from the graveyard. Skyclave Shade and Ox of Agonas are the two big ones. Especially Ox. Flat out one of the best cards in this whole deck. Now the final graveyard creature could be any number of things. If you're willing to use even more mythic wildcards, or just already own them Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger is pretty good in this slot. It does suffer from having to use a large amount of cards in the graveyard, a problem shared with Ox of Agonas , and it makes it difficult to run them side by side. This version will be running Dread Wanderer , which works great when our hand is gone, but it's honestly equally acceptable to run Reassembling Skeleton , which is what I use on Arena because I don't want to use all my wildcards. Our last payoff just works great with our constant discarding: Flameblade Adept . Of course, we need a few more enablers, so we run Cathartic Reunion , Thrill of Possibility , and Lightning Axe . The mana base is made without the consideration of budget for playtesting sake, and for your ability to copy if you have the full mana base, but work within your wildcard budget if necessary (I know I will).

Good luck, and have fun playing magic!
