I'd add a Sanguimancy . Just very nice in black.

irindumaster, thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, with the limited amount of life gain, when I tested it out it was too much life loss to sustain with all of the other life/draw that I have. I know that the only life that matters is the last but it's tough if I am able to only have Griselbrand and Wurmcoil Engine and then the occasional use of Exsanguinate gaining me life.

Painful Quandary , and Choice of Damnations :P

HungryWampa, thanks for the suggestions. I used to run Painful Quandary , it definitely did some work. I didn't know about Choice of Damnations . If I was to try and fit them in, what would you recommend taking out for them?

In all honesty, considering your mana curve, and the crazy amount of mana you are producing between lands and artifacts, You could remove a land and an artifact of your choice. Considering your artifacts, im surprised you aren't using Sol Ring .

i would personally take out Fellwar Stone and a Swamp though, if i had to choose.

Also, something to consider, if you get Liliana of the Dark Realms ' emblem out and draw Exsanguinate , its game over.

This is a 1v1 Duel Commander list, Sol Ring is banned. The ramp allows me to get Griselbrand out generally by turn 5. I have played around with LOTS of different builds and the mana/artifact ramp works out quite well now. Much much better than it did in the past. Any other suggestions without touching the rocks/mana?

How effective is Liliana's Reaver ? It has no immediate board impact and needs to hit to really do something. It's also on a fairly small body with no real means of evasion. Perhaps that could be a candidate for replacement?

Definitely doesn't impact the board right away. It will be swapped out once I get the Phyrexian Obliterator in hand. I have actually been surprised by how much work it actually does do though. People don't enjoy blocking it so it is usually good for 1 or 2 zombies and cards out of their hands. Not the best body but people don't seem to attack into (often) it due to the deathtouch.

Temporal Extortion is just mean in EDH

Chainer's Edict because you have lots of land to get the value.

Underworld Connections because more draw is good.

Hero's Downfall because creatures and planeswalkers are really prevalent in duel commander.

And I'd agree that your deck would like Rune-Scarred Demon and Phyrexian Obliterator. I think it needs a few more creatures + my a sword or two. And these two bad-boys are a good start.

Things to cut? Read the Bones, Horrifying Revelation, Sudden Spoiling, and maybe a land or two.

Replace Infest with Drown in Sorrow... or run both!
