A few edits made to the list —Oct. 13, 2016
Some more playtesting led to these changes. I haven't had the chance to pick the cards up yet, but I went ahead and updated the list accordingly.
+1 Back to Basics: Lockdown for the rest of the table (probably)
+1 Forbid: Better than Hinder. The buyback cost ought to be trivial with Azami out.
+1 Intruder Alarm: Lots of cards whenever anyone plays creatures.
+1 Martyr of Frost: Counterspell threat just by holding mana.
+1 Sea Scryer: Mana dork. After some testing it's very much worth it.
+1 Sensei's Divining Top (again): Might as well since I have Helm of Awakening and Magus of the Future.
+1 Snap: Free removal is nice.
-1 Archaeomancer: In faster games, you won't get to use the recursion so why spend a bunch of mana on it?
-1 Fatestitcher: Yeah, it's good, but it's just too expensive, and the only thing it untaps that Aphetto Alchemist doesn't is Nykthos.
-1 Hinder: Forbid is just better.
-1 Preordain: Cheaper wizards means more access to card draw so the cantrip is less good.
-1 Snow-Covered Island: Adding in a mana dork so I'm cutting a land to compensate.
-1 Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir: Competing with Azami is really hard, and while he's definitely good I want to try the deck without him for a while and see how it does.
-1 Turn Aside: There are just better things to do with this slot.
Also, with Back to Basics coming in, I'm cutting some of the less useful nonbasics and replacing them with Islands.
-1 Scrying Sheets: I really don't like saving the mana to use this anymore, it's slow.
-1 Riptide Laboratory: Funny interactions with Venser and Archaeomancer but not worth it.
