Mtg Format: The Brothers’ War

Format Concept:

  • Name derived from mtg lore, format created for me and my brothers
  • 3+ player multiplayer format
  • High powered cards are allowed (or restricted) to allow us to use our old cards while staying within the bounds of the deck structure
  • Decks built to mirror precon structure
  • Decks built around fulfilling rarity slots, including land rarity
  • No sideboards

Deck Structure:

  • 1 mythic
  • 4 rare
  • 15 uncommon
  • 40 common

Rules:

  • You can choose to use a slot to include a down-rarity card, such as using a 5th rare for the mythic slot, or a rare for a 16th uncommon.
  • Card rarity may be based on lowest printed rarity (see ashnod’s altar).
  • Cards from all sets allowed.
  • Start with 20 life as normal.
  • First player in 3+ player round draws on their first turn
