I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike!
DISCLAIMER:
This is not a competitive pauper deck and its limitations are quite clear; However, it can win as soon as turn one or two. Be aware, your opponents may get bored and/or agitated from watching you vomit your cards onto the board in a solitaire manner.
Unfortunately I do not have the time to respond to every comment, but know that I appreciate all the support and advice that all of you give to this deck.
The Deck Plan:
The goal of this deck is to cast mana producing spells such as Dark Ritual to start netting some black mana, spend some of that mana on cycling cards to find more ritual effects in the form of Cabal Ritual and Songs of the Damned (which are both better once you've already cycled creatures into your graveyard).
Eventually you will draw into the combo pieces in the deck in the form of Unearth to reanimate Drannith Stinger, and Reaping the Graves to ensure that you have cycling cards to use for Drannith Stinger. It is crucial that you avoid drawing yourself out of the game so I have added an alternate/supporting win condition in the form of Haunting Misery.
The Sideboard Plan:
I have added a package of x2 Geothermal Crevice (to replace Peat Bog) and Chromatic Star in order to utilize red and green sideboard cards such as Flaring Pain to counteract fog/damage prevention effects, Pyroblast to fight counterspells, and Gnaw to the Bone to fight against burn/aggro decks.
I also run an Exhume and Rite of Consumption package as a backup plan to reanimate Horror of the Broken Lands, grow it by cycling, and then fling it at the opponent's face. This portion is optional and can easily be swapped out for other cards depending on your needs.
In a reanimator heavy meta you can add Faerie Macabre in place of some of the current sideboard options. This card is great for answering graveyard threats while simultaneously helping to enable our combo pieces such as Cabal Ritual, Songs of the Damned, and Reaping the Graves.
