The Return —Oct. 10, 2020
It's October 2020 and Zendikar Rising has just dropped; I buy two boxes. I opened a flippy Flip acting as a dualie, and I pulled a nice wheel Flip, and now I'm about to draft Double Masters with some from friends all nice and casual-like. Spicy meatballs, we are cooking now.
Over a year ago is when I really dove into the potential of Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer, and I have really come to a place where I've been proud of my Brudy Boy. I am thankful for the avid playgroup I am able to have during COVID-19 and love that I get to write about my all-time favorite commander again. I have owned him for a long time so the overall price has risen significantly from some spicy meatballs aquired over the years - delicious.
Brudy Boy is the master of experimentation as we cycle through our deck picking our favorite subjects to create something almost as beautiful as our very first creation. After our first, we have only grown more dark, horrendous, and even traumatizing with our experimentations.
Trying to pilot Brudy Boy like myself is similar to that of a Timmy playing on the inside with a classic Johnny using shenanigans on the outside all the while you have a Spike who just wants to do his best. It's an Izzet Artifacts Token deck with not as many tokens as one might think. It has it's moments; yes, but it's in the minute combos of some of the most complex rulings you've ever had to look up in the official Wizards of the Coast rules for Magic: the Gathering that lead me to my obsession - Token Copies.
Though the complexity of the machine is vast, the desired strategy can be quite rudimentary in design and unequivocally complex in the same turn. Brudy Boy will unleash the unrelenting terror of his experiments upon his rivals in such a way that you applaud the execution.
Exponential growth created from a deceitfully simple recipe and now we have fine tuned the spices; our stock; our substance Flip, and our flavor are a cohesive unit.
We've increased the destruction and interaction with our rivals of the highest degree. They consist the Elder Cerberus and the Gargantuan Twins, the Prince himself and the Deep Serpent. Elder Cerberus has claimed the throne against Brudy Boy and we have made great preparations in pursuit of his downfall and the reclamation of the throne.
