I would put in one more Blood Baron of Vizkopa in place of Lifebane Zombie Since lifebane is such a situational card.

I've only got 2 barons on hand, and I usually never put more then two of a legendary in a deck. Especially one that's so hard to remove that others would be dead draws. Lifebane Zombie is good anytime, especially first games. Even if you don't snag something, you've got a free look at what's coming up, a decent attacker/blocker that is killer with Ethereal Armor and Whip of Erebos gives you another look if you need it later. I'll make a deck description soon, but Sin Collector is the swap out for him against control for all the same reasons

I never put more then 2 of legendary in a deck either, good thing Blood Baron of Vizkopa isn't legendary then. haha :)

Magiclover318 Ha! Right you are. I've been thinking off all the maze runners as legendary. Still though, higher cost card (mana, not money) and I like the flow of a low cost deck. If he were a major win con is do a tree if for sure (now that I realize he's not legendary)

So what exactly is your win condition here? Not trying to sound rude its just sort of hard to find, looks like a great deck overall though, Have you played with it against anybody yet, in tournaments or anything like that?

I would include more Desecration Demon or even Alms Beast

It seems as if you dont want your opponents to be able to have their creatures, correct?

Have you looked into Nightveil Specter because that would just benefit you in everyway if you were able to actually play their cards and have them not draw them,

UncleJackNasty Haven't played it yet, can't be bothered to dig all the cards out of the box yet. I also recently found out I only have one Erebos, God of the Dead so with one of him going, I'm trying to find another slot so I can put two Gift of Immortality simply because putting that on High Priest of Penance is so much fun.

Kind of multiple ways to win. Obzedat and Blood Baron by themselves can take it, so can Desecration Demon . Or the guildmage can still take life from them if they have blockers. It's basically a midrange deck that tries to draw out other people's hands and make them waste cards, while keeping you in it with lifegain. I had a deck before theros like this, except it focused on first and double strike creatures. I wish I could find out where my two Underworld Connections went as they are an easy fit in here

It's a pretty solid strategy, i like it,

Again, Nightveil Specter you cant go wrong if you want your opponents to not have their cards in play

UncleJackNasty True, but I think I only currently have one if them and hoping for three black mana to cast him might cause me to stall out. Any thoughts on a card to get rid of for a Gift of Immortality

November 20, 2013 12:47 p.m.

I would honestly say,

Probably Orzhov Charm to swap out for the Gift of Immortality The gift is a way better card if you're trying to hold your ground while you bury your opponents creatures,

It's basically giving you a second chance, and with Orzhov Charm it kind of only really benefits you in situational times,

UncleJackNasty Makes a lot of sense and pretty much what I was thinking. I don't want to cut down on enchantments for Ethereal Armor . I love how quickly things escalate when you drop that on Lifebane Zombie too lol

One card that I've always found pairs really well with these kinda decks that have pretty heavy lifegain is my boy Ajani, Caller of the Pride . His -3 is just massive when paired with either a creturified Erebos, God of the Dead Desecration Demon Obzedat, Ghost Council . And with the Whip on the battlefield, you can easily stack up on life. And you can still stack counters on your creatures which is always nice as well. His ultimate goes along with all the lifegain you have in the deck too.

Butters01 Hmm that's a good idea. I only have one of him right now but I'll see if I can make room for him.

If you need some draw power, I would think about Underworld Connections since this would boost your Ethereal Armor and gives more reach. Over Read the Bones that is.

I thought the same thing. I know I have two of them, but I've been unable to find them for months now. They would go perfect in here but I just need to locate them

WallaWalla101 says... #18

Yeah, they would fit nice, just cause they give you draw past the turn you play them, and they just feed the armor. +1 from me

canuckkat That's right, no Oloro, Ageless Ascetic , seeing as that would change the colours of the deck and what I want to do
