With the spoiler of Yearling Kavu, I feel a rebirth of Fires of Yavimaya will soon be upon us. While not a replica, the deck holds lots of similarities of the deck of old.

  1. Fires of Yavimaya:
This card was been replaced by Rhythm of the Wild to which I think is great upgrade. Making our creatures hit the field uncontested and making them bigger OR a small buff is amazing.

  2. Blastoderm:
We finally got one step closer. Vine Mare is fine but 3 toughness does not let it trade in combat. Evolved Spinoderm is my new friend.

I miss this guy so much, essentially a 3 mana 5/5 beat stick. While probably not as good anymore I feel Vine Mare is suitable, while losing out on 2 toughness, he gains hexproof and a majority of decks can't block him anyways.

  3. Chimeric Idol:
In the deck of old this was the way to dodge sorcery speed removal. While there is no "exact" replacement, I feel the newly spoiled card Stuffed Bear does a good backup job. Cheap to throw down, cheap to activate, and is a decent body at 4/4.

  4. Flametongue Kavu:
The absolute beat stick of a removal piece. With the spoiler of Flametongue Yearling I feel this is as close as you can get and with Rhythm out it becomes a 2RR 4/3 deal 4. So different mana adjustments for essentially the same card.

  5. Saproling Burst:
Now this card I cannot find any replacement for. There is nothing like it in the modern meta that has the same amount of burst capacity as this card. The only "like" card I found was the depressing Gelatinous Genesis, which at most when played on T4 can make two 2/2s, and only be useful if you have fervor out because Rhythm doesn't grant tokens riot so no haste. Hopefully, with the spoiling of Flametongue Yearling, Saproling Burst won't be too far behind.
