Budget deck that sums up to less than $20, not including a sideboard. Includes a plentiful amount of low CMC counterspells, a few specifically for protecting your own creatures. None of the spells are more than 3 CMC, except for Tempest Djinn, the win condition. There are other creatures that can turn out to be hard hitters to finish off the game, like Pteramander and Ascendant Spirit. The goal is to use counters like Keep Safe and Siren Stormtamer to protect your own valuable creatures that will slowly but surely whittle down your opponent's hitpoints while still keeping up with card draw by utilizing Deliberate and Curious Obsession. The average CMC is extremely low - about 1.6 - hence why I've chosen extremely low cost creatures and 20 lands. I've taken a lot of inspiration from various sources, specifically numerous variations of winning professional decklists. The biggest difference is that I'm running with a lot more counterspells, but one thing that is inflexible about this archetype, is that there has to be 4 of Curious Obsession. I would really like some input or suggestions on my list, and maybe give advice if I should use this in a competitive setting. Thanks for viewing.
