A mono white control deck. I made this deck as a challenge to see, if I can run mono-W in this super blue meta. Protection theme with a minor rebel subtheme.

Few notes:

  1. Unfortunately, white doesn't have much good card draw, so Palace Sentinels helps out a lot. This deck runs 15 main board removals and 6 runes, you get a lot of Monarch triggers.

  2. Ramosian Lieutenant & Bound in Silence allows to get past counter magic and hexproof/shroud.

  3. I am using it over Defiant Falcon and Amrou Scout, because 2 toughness protects from lots of removal and allows to block 1/1 tokens. This creature is for the effect, not combat.

  4. Cycling off-sets having the runes in main deck.

  5. Journey to Nowhere over Temporal Isolation because, Temporal Isolation messes with Celestial Flare (Temporal Isolation doesn't prevent the creature from attacking, which means they will always attack with 2 creatures to sac the "isolated" one)

SIDE BOARD CHOICES

  • Holy Light - vs. faeries, elves, boggles
  • Rune of Protection: X - self explanatory
  • Standard Bearer - vs. elves, boggles, heavy removal decks
  • Custodi Squire - vs. heavy removal decks, edict decks
