Maybeboard

Listening to eurobeat while turning my creatures sideways. There's lots of fuel in the tank.

This deck is fairly powerful for being on a budget. Grand Architect and Chief Engineer are the hearts of the deck. A turn 3 or 4 6-drop is common. Treasure Mage is great in the deck, and is a toolbox of the 6 drops for you to choose from. After constant tuning and theorycrafting, the deck has gotten to a state where I am satisfied with its performance. It does exactly what I want, which is to have fun playing lots of big artifacts way earlier than they should be played. There are competitive versions of Grand Architect decks like Blue Steel, which are more styled as aggro decks, but I specifically didn't go for that with this deck because I thought it was a boring build. If I find more optimizations to make, I will post an update. Otherwise, I hope you enjoy the deck!

Affinity was not worth keeping splashed in the deck. Those slots were better used by other things (all lands being Islands, and 2 extra slots from ditching Cranial Plating).
Removed: Etherium Sculptor (Naifu Neko explains this decision best) and Enclave Cryptologist (too slow. Draw and discard effect is not great in this deck, where we are often emptying our hand quickly).

Added: Incubation / Incongruity (we rely on getting specific creatures, and this card is the best and cheapest for that, even in mono-blue) and Faerie Seer (so much better than Enclave Cryptologist in most fast-paced situations)

Removed: 2 Island (cmc*3.15+16 is rule of thumb. we only play high cmc artifacts by cheating them out, so we can go for less lands), Staff of Nin (not an impactful enough 6 drop), Infiltration Lens (Who's gonna block a 1/1?), and Inkwell Leviathan (those two blue make it too slow to cast)

Added: Lodestone Golem (tax can work in our favor) and Daze (we just want to protect our stuff early and snowball, land be damned)

Removed: Judge's Familiar (Naifu Neko inspired. it is better to find our important creatures. we also don't want to sac our small creatures which we use for our artifact discounts), Preordain (not enough digging, and many similar decks do not use it)

Added: Sage of Epityr (he's back! It seems I needed his ability to order my draws more than I thought), Argentum Armor (an impactful 6 drop. as a bonus, this one dodges creature removal. we also have lots of little guys to equip this to), Planar Bridge (if the board is in our favor, this card can be a game winner)
