Pithing Needle: What to name?

I am wondering if anyone knows if there is a current list existing for things for Pithing Needle to hit against typical matchups in the Modern scene?
I know there are some walkers like Liliana of the Veil against Jund, Grim Lavamancer for burn, and perhaps Expedition Map against tron. but are does anyone know of some other good targets to hit?
Things like Birthing Pod / Pestermite (if pod/S.T. were legal).

If you're not familiar enough with the meta to know what to hit simply run Sorcerous Spyglass instead.
BTW Pithing Needle doesn't hit Pestermite . An activated ability has ":" in the text.

Pestermite was something to name when Splinter Twin was a thing.... I like the spyglass idea though for being in my shoes not knowing what to name... but with some study I Believe the needle is a superior choice.

APPLE01DOJ i think he ment before twin was banned. Twin gave Exarc an activated ability.

Exactly... because Naming Splinter Twin itself didn't work but naming the combo creature like Deceiver Exarch / Pestermite was the next best thing because Twin gave the creatures activated abilities.
I have a hunch that Birthing Pod / Splinter Twin are going to be unbanned soon...

Ahh. I missed that. I played against Twin a lot but as BG Rock so never had to side in a Pithing Needle against it. Thanks for the clarification.
Also I hope Pod & Twin get unbanned. Those were fun decks to play against.

Yes and fun decks to play as well, at least pod. I have high hopes for Vannifar, check out my Vannipod list: Vannifar Modern. Its more kiki pod tho, melira pod was more fun to play. Probably the most fun deck ive ever played

I would be interested in making a shared Google doc where we could all add good targets for Needle based on what we got caught by/faced in specific matchups. Anyone would be too?

What is your deck? That can change what you want to hit - for example, vs tron you can name Oblivion Stone if you're Humans, but a BG midrange deck will be better served to name karn.
Excluding that Aether Vial vs humans and spirits is a good pick, though spirits you can also pick Mausoleum Wanderer .
Scavenging Ooze is the best pick vs GBx decks if you are aggressive, while Jace, teferi and even Colonade are all good picks vs UW.
