Are you still on that rather restrictive budget?

I could suggest a large number of upgrades that you could make to Oloro to make it more controlling for the $40 that you would spend on Sen Triplets and GAA4 is just annoying if you don't go full on stax, which may be a thing you are interested in; but which is very hard to not just be annoying on a budget. If you really want to do either of those commanders, don't let me stop you. But I seriously think you would be better served to buy Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir , Grand Abolisher , and Demonic Tutor for the $40 you would spend on Sen Triplets

Gidgetimer I already own Sen Triplets so it wouldnt be a problem to buy it. So Oloro or Sen Trips?

Sen Triplets is a better control general if you already own the card. However; to make optimal use of the ability you are going to need to add in a good number of rainbow lands and rocks. This is going to slow down the deck, but control decks are slow anyway. At a minimum I would run

and seriously consider

Gidgetimer I got all those cards except Forbidden Orchard . So I am going to build a Sen Triplets . The only reason I want a control deck because everybody in my playgroup uses control decks. One person uses Baral, Chief of Compliance , and uses way too many counterspells so stoppping them from doing that would be great. Also speaking of counterspells, how many counterspells should I put in this deck?

Oh man, if everyone's playing control play aggro and make them suffer.

Prob is everybody has a blue Commander with like 40 million counter spells and Ghostly Prison , Propaganda and stuff. I will be making the Seen Triplets deck soon. Just wait a day please.

Surrak Dragonclaw can help with the counters. I’m not a big fan of counters in commander so I think you only need like 4 or 5 in a control deck.

Everyone keeps suggesting things way out of color

OP says they want to build control because everyone else in their group is doing control.

You suggested aggro to make control suffer.

OP says the problem is that the entire rest of the playgroup is playing lots of counterspells.

I suggest that OP could play aggro by making a Surrak Dragonclaw deck instead if the other players were playing counterspell control.

I am a little confused why you are now mentioning stuff being out of color. Neither Oloro nor Sen Triplets (the two commanders OP was debating on) are good aggro generals, so you were the one who originally suggested scrapping the generals OP wanted in favor of a completely different strategy. If we are scrapping the generals there is no reason to stay in the same colors, especially when Esper is not the strongest aggro color identity.

As a side note. A single suggestion from a single user is not "everyone keeps" doing anything. I am sorry that I mistook your suggestion to run aggro as a suggestion to run an aggro general and then suggested an aggro general that addressed the OP's major objection to running aggro.
