Double masters Pulls —Aug. 14, 2020

After deciding to pick up a draft pack of double masters on a whim I will be adding the following new cards to the deck:

  • Mana Echoes: This will generate a ton of mana anytime we wheel which will then ramp into even bigger spells

  • Cyclonic Rift: Self explanatory removal spell, glad I pulled a second one to use.

Out:

I also ended up pulling The Scarab God and Ad Nauseam, I was super happy with the packs

I recommend Battle Hymn and Xenagos, the Reveler to get mana for your creatures. This allows you to play multiple wheels per turn and really go off. That’s how my deck works. There are more options but they tend to be more pricey like Earthcraft, cradle or Phyrexian Altar. Feel free to take a look at my deck if you want to look for some upgrades

Pikobyte Thanks for the suggestions. This definately isn't the final version of the deck so I'll be sure to look your deck when I'm looking to upgrade it

Sure, you have to test and see what’s working. I got a lot games with Xyris and the deck changed a lot.

The deck is lookin pretty cool! I think it is going in a good direction. I agree with what Pikobyte said in their comment, with this commander it is possible to keep the wheels going multiple times a turn. I think there are some pretty good wheels you are missing out on in the deck. Windfall, Wheel and Deal, Echo of Eons, Whirlpool Warrior.

Feel free to check out my list for some ideas, although I have not had the chance to put more than a couple of games on it so far, so I wouldn't say it is very tuned yet. Wheels and Draws and Snakes Oh My

I like the deck, man! Might want to look at a Memory Jar in there for some sick nastiness! +1 from me!
