BattleWalrus says... #2

Do you mean did i purchase any of them? as opposed to pulling them "stock" ?

instead of putt blood scrivener maybe think about altar's reap, who ask you to sacrifice a creature instead of loosing life point :) and if you put a blood artist, you will not loose a life point

i'm trying to do the perfect onetry Rob zombie deck (it's mine)

Maybe put 1 one Nykthos, and in a side cavern of souls if a controle gamer is ur' oppenent the geralf messenger is a good card indeed but i don't like to play with it, but i'm thinking to put festering goblin instead of diergraph goul ..i don't know all zombie are so cute in a way :D

I'm surprised Death Baron , Cemetery Reaper , and Endless Ranks of the Dead aren't in here. The Baron is great at forcing your opponent to constantly lose their field and the Reaper can counter cards like Scavenging Ooze flawlessly. Endless Ranks of the Dead is the best sacrifice generator for zombies and can get out of control if left unchecked.

I'm going through some testing with the deck and took out my deathbaron's for Diregraf Captain . I know that deathbaron is an amazing lord, but we already have so much creature removal.... BECAUSE .. lol, i took out Endless Ranks of the Dead for Gravepact giving us even more removal. Cemetery Reaper is definitely on my sideboard. I don't know, i want it to be a sacrifice deck and i'm trying to get maximal utility out of sacrificing my creatures. If i can gain 3 life and do 2 damage to my opponent for each 2 mana and make you sacrifice a creature yourself. Deathbaron, to me seems better suited for a deck that has a lot of token/ creatures and because i took out the aforementioned cards it lost a little bit of it's power. That being said, i have them in wait for any changes, if you have see anything i'm missing. I'm no expert.

I almost completely forgot about the Slitherhead ! A wonderful 1 drop for sacrifice decks.

oooo, it is a zombie <.< .. shifty eyes .. no .. because i can't bring it back and use it's scavenge ability, and i'd rather get a 2/2 zombie with it if it comes down to later game use. Good suggestion though. I missed the zombie subtype on that one.

February 26, 2014 3:32 p.m.

smccl says... #12

Heh, that was always my issue running it too. I usually opted to scavenge it to make a card like Gutless Ghoul tougher to kill early game.

February 26, 2014 3:36 p.m.

BattleWalrus says... #13

Hmm, that is true actually. It is versatile even for one of my lords. I think you may have convinced me. I don't HAVE to use it's scavenge ability. I like i like.

But what if I play Rest in Peace ? :(

+1, looks fun. :)

BattleWalrus says... #16

Oh, thank you for reminding me. I was going to use some Abrupt Decay on the sideboard and just throw in some duel lands for that exact reason. Grafdigger's Cage shuts down my Gravecrawler already and was going to sideboard it for that.

Haha, it was more of a joke on the title than anything. :P Every deck has its weaknesses.

Don't forget about Ground Seal , too. Shit ain't fun.

March 11, 2014 9:32 p.m.

BattleWalrus says... #18

But a deck needs to know it's weakness :P So thank you for pointing them out lol. I needed a way to get enchantment removal in here anyways.

March 11, 2014 9:40 p.m.

BattleWalrus says... #19

Ground Seal kind of actually works in my favor if they are going to use any spells against my graveyard. Now that i don't have Ghoulcaller's Chant anymore i'll definitely sideboard 2 of those bad boys

it's not a badidea but instead of llanowar wast put maybe more an overgrown tomb it's faster and you may put woodland cemetery without a problem :)

scruffie says... #21

and if you go in green why don't you putt a lotleth troll, it's a funny game with gravecrawler and sitherhead :)

March 12, 2014 8:42 a.m.

BattleWalrus says... #22

Oh, this is going to be fun. I just have to wait for the Bloodghast to come in though. I've kept Stromgald Crusader in the deck for now and it's really fun to play. I seem to get a decent amount of land draws, so that is a plus.

I like your build here, maybe consider 2x or 3x Twilight Mire since you might not always want to pay the 2 life for Overgrown Tomb to come in untapped and you can change a black mana to green if you need. They're rare situations but when they do help they can save you some health and let you drop both Abrupt Decay and Lotleth Troll even if it's your only source of green mana.

March 12, 2014 6:55 p.m.

BattleWalrus says... #24

Twilight Mire is definitely better. Alas, i have only so much expendable cash lol. I have 1 i can throw in but i don't want to but a playset :P

March 13, 2014 9:35 p.m.

Bipolarprobe says... #25

Lands like Twilight Mire are typically best when you run 2 to 3 anyway since running a playset runs a large risk of drawing into multiple of them and not being able to create colored mana so running one for now can work just fine and if you happen to find another it would make a good two-of.
