Sideboard

The main idea i had was attack every turn like a wolf in heat. Or in terms of this deck, like a Kraken hungry for a pirate. Second, i wanted to bounce any defenders and weapons of threat to my creatures.

Cloudseeder is on her own in this deck. Shes that surprise late game weapon. Thus, I only put in a single copy. Chances are your opponent will do everything they can to kill her if you drop her early. In that respect she could play as a distraction for a turn to allow for another of your creatures to get in.

Coralhelm Commander and Ludevic's Test Subject   are "HERE TO PUMP YOU UP!!!" lol. Commander provides early muscle until he can steroid up. While Subject sits in the shadows until he can mid-game bounce out and scream: "Hey, I AM NO PUNNIE MAN!!!" lol.

I discovered a fun little element i was dying to put into a deck and that element is the 'whenever your opponent shuffles his or her library...'. So thats where Cosi's Trickster and Psychic Surgery come in. Trickster hits the juice every time an opponent shuffles and Surgery forces your opponent to give you his or her SSN and Credit card number lol. Two great cards i feel provide a touch of difference in this deck.

Harbinger of the Tides, Boomerang, Echoing Truth, and Clutch of Currents are your bounce arsenal. There isnt much about these cards that are special. Except realize that you can use them (with the exception of Harbinger) to protect your own permanents.

Finally, we have the Void Stalker. Not only does this little 'PUNNIE' jelly-fish-looking elemental have an awesome activated ability it also supports Trickster & Surgery. 'nuff said on this Blue-virus-looking beauty of a creature.

Ok, for the last two pieces of the deck I failed to mention. Rune Snag! Yes, they're dozens of other counterspells out there... But, Damn, didnt you ever just like ONE particular one? I have liked Rune Snag since '08 when almost every merfolk deck & UB Bitterblossom deck used it. So thats my defense of the card. Feel free to switch it out for whatever suits your fancy ;). On advice from Clockwurk I've added Negate and Dispel. I believe his advice is powerful against control as he has pointed out.

Sideboard: 1)Hurkyl's Recall- for Affinity. 2)Clash of Wills-for everything. 3)Ratchet Bomb- for Weenies. 4)Basilisk Collar- for a better fight against all those damn PHYREXIAN OBLITERATORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. 5) Dispel- for Burn and Instants in general.

This is an FNM budget deck. Any recommendations are well appreciated but please remember its a Budget. :)
