Send me your Variants —Feb. 17, 2012

Check out what squirrelking98 did with my Sacrifice All Humans deck and Teysa, Orzhov Scion in his Teysa's Mill deck. It's pretty sick! Send some love his way (+1) and if you have a variant of this deck let me know and I'll post a link to it in the updates.

Run ... simply because of the hypothetical loop there between Archdemon of GreedMTG Card: Archdemon of Greed and Mikaeus, the UnhallowedMTG Card: Mikaeus, the Unhallowed.

When Loyal Cathar returns then does it have undying and is a Zombie? I'm not sure how this loop would work.

jiodi says... #3

Yes, when it returns it would fall under Mikaus ability, being as it is no longer human. What you'd do is sac the cathar to transform archdemon or keep him from damaging the crap out of you and then you get back the zombie as a 3/2 undying thanks to mikaeus.

I like how it says this deck is $1. +1!

It's a $1 and 10 cents thank you very much!

I like the idea of this deck. I want to make a dek around ravenous demon just because he looks so cool. I like the unruly mob and village cannibals. What about taking out the high priest and flayers for 4 champion of the parish?

I like the idea but I really want the removal from Skirsdag FlayerMTG Card: Skirsdag Flayer and the Demons from Skirsdag High PriestMTG Card: Skirsdag High Priest.

Nice. +1

I think Falkenrath AristocratMTG Card: Falkenrath Aristocrat is totally worth splashing red for instead of Falkenrath TorturerMTG Card: Falkenrath Torturer.

There's also a great combo with Sun TitanMTG Card: Sun Titan + Fiend HunterMTG Card: Fiend Hunter + (Sacrifice) which would pump your creatures infinitely. Also good for rez.

I have a similar version with an emphasis on tokens: Rum Sodomy and the Lash V1 (BRW Tokens)

More human version: Rum Sodomy and the Lash V2 (BRW Humans)

Would love input!

Yeah I know about the Sun TitanMTG Card: Sun Titan + Fiend HunterMTG Card: Fiend Hunter combo but I am trying to flatten out the deck more so that the whole deck has synergy rather than waiting for one infinite combo.

I like Falkenrath AristocratMTG Card: Falkenrath Aristocrat as this deck was originally more of a red black vampire deck with a splash of white but i moved away from it as I focused on the human component.

Strangelove says... #11

Titan and Hunter have a lot of synergy imo. Archdemon of GreedMTG Card: Archdemon of Greed is also very dangerous to use. You have to be careful when transforming him. Sun TitanMTG Card: Sun Titan is a more effective threat than Thraben DoomsayerMTG Card: Thraben Doomsayer (whose tokens really aren't that good unless you're running a token deck or Adaptive AutomatonMTG Card: Adaptive Automaton).

The reason why I really like Falkenrath AristocratMTG Card: Falkenrath Aristocrat is because Day of JudgmentMTG Card: Day of Judgment or any kind of board wipe is a huge threat to this kind of deck. She survives it.

I think you're too focused on the humans, there really aren't any cards that beef them up and they're fodder anyway.

@Strangelove I'm a Johnny not a Timmy so for me, it's all about the Humans! That said I am going to try it with Sun TitanMTG Card: Sun Titan as i want to see my friends face when I infinite combo. Thanks for the advice.

@squirrelking98 Thanks man, that made my day. :)

how do you get that colored name??

QuentinD says... #16

No prob, this is one of the best B/W builds on tappedout, and in my opinion, a great price for such consistency. The great thing about this deck is that there are so many ways to benefit from sacking humans that there will always be a way to win.

Valentine35 says... #17

i have a similar deck. in my experience using sacrificial humans, the archdemon is not dangerous to you at all. If your playing this deck right you should have a huge field of humans out there just waiting to be sacrificed. Especially since your running 4 doomsayers, he is just great and i love the doomsayer/flayer combo.

I built a similar deck last week and had tons of fun with it. It's close to this, but this seems to have a little better synergy. I still wrecked shop with mine tho. +1!

+1 and much love to ya Johnny!

Check out Falkenrath NobleMTG Card: Falkenrath Noble with that combo and gain life and have your opponent/opponents lose lots of life for the win baby!

It seems like your early game may be a little weak. Maybe add a few Honor of the PureMTG Card: Honor of the Pures or Intangible VirtueMTG Card: Intangible Virtues to buff up your human tokens early on as a threat till mid/late game.

February 15, 2012 6:28 a.m.

swamp_water says... #22

@jfriday09 The may get the chance to hit once before they are sac'd so Intangible VirtueMTG Card: Intangible Virtue probably doesn't help this deck much and I can't justify the card space to buff only half my creatures with Honor of the PureMTG Card: Honor of the Pure.

Wow...me and you have almost the exact same deck haha. I like your build though, have you thought about Altar's ReapMTG Card: Altar's Reap? It triggers morbid for the priest and Tragic SlipMTG Card: Tragic Slip,in case you dont have a sac engine up. A deck like this can go into top deck mode very quick and Altar's ReapMTG Card: Altar's Reap can give you some much needed card advantage. Good deck though +1
