Disclaimer: I'm really not sure which direction to take this deck, but I figure I'll mess around with the sideboard to improve it after some playtesting. It's meant for casual play.

Anyway, the goal is to kill your opponent either all in one go on in a few smaller ones. Doesn't matter how.

First off, the focus of the deck: Echo Mage. This card lets you copy your instants/sorceries once it gets a few level counters on it. Very nice.

Enclave Cryptologist is a cheap level-up-er with decent abilities that can be useful for finding the right card you need faster.

Venerated Teacher adds level counters to both of those, same as sideboarded Gilder Bairn who is there because I'm not sure how often he'll live to untap.

Nivmagus Elemental can eat spells to grow, useful when you have extras or want to use it as the path to victory of choice.

Young Pyromancer fits the theme of spells and can summon alot of 1/1 elementals fairly quickly, so I'm definitely considering him.

As for spells, Gigadrowse can be used as much as you can and/or eaten many times by a Nivmagus.

The same (kind of) goes for Grapeshot, with its Storm and cheapness.

Glaring Spotlight, when sacrificed, can allow a Nivmagus to swing without fear of removal, combat tricks, or being blocked.

Fling serves the same purpose in a cheaper manner but kills your Nivmagus.

The best interaction in the deck is between Echo Mage and Reality Spasm . You can either set X to three and gain infinite copies of Reality Shift to be eaten or abused with Grapeshot by untapping two islands/boilerworkses and the Mage with the Shift which allows the shift to be copied over and over again, or X to four and do the same for infinite mana.

This infinite mana can be abused with uncounterable Banefire or by insta-milling with Blue Sun's Zenith. (Stroke of Genius can be replaced, but isn't Modern-legal.)

Cards under consideration: Guttersnipe, Arcane Melee, Sol Ring.

Anything to add? Anything not worth it? Deck just completely suck? All feedback is appreciated, thanks!

Also, if you plan to use the three red sideboard cards in main, you might want to grab a few more Mountains (instead of Islands).

EDIT: Young Pyromancer instead of Glaring Spotlight. The Spotlight just seems to be getting in the way.
