This deck is inspired by Tolkien's Mirkwood spiders. Giant webs spanning from ancient trees and crumbling towers, with massive, hyper intelligent fanged monstrosities ready to pounce on any that dare enter their lair. The mists that pervade the forest block many intruders path and cause them to get lost within.

That is the strategy. Delay until you can pounce. Solid toughness per CMC with Assault Formation means your spiders are actually fairly cheap and Tower Defense amounts to a +5/+5 once you're setup. Swarmyard makes Watcher in the Web a true beast of a blocker, and you can pretty much web the opponent's large creatures at will with little spiders and tokens due to Arachnus Spinner's free uses of Arachnus Web

My friends hate infect so I left out Blightwidow and Triumph of the Hordes but if you don't have or want friends, by all means, throw it in.

To make it suuuuper budget, drop the Swarmyards for more forests and the Arachnogenesiss for any other of the number of fog like instants or one more fog and a pair of regen enchantment to replace the swarmyards like Savage Silhouette and pop it on the multi-blocker or a deathtoucher. Overall, it's under $15 this way and is pretty decent for mono-green at the price and great for spiders in my opinion.

Let me know what you think!
