Memory challenge
So I've been noticing that Kyleeee has been posting lots of challenges for people on the challenge boards. So I thought it would be fun to try this one.
Let's start with the challenge itself. The challenge was to get away from cards and computers to build a deck from memory. Start by grabbing a piece of paper and writing down all the cards you can think of that could work well in a deck together and make a deck out of the list. I went a step further and gave myself a time limit. 5 minutes to write the cards and 3 minutes to build the deck. I also prompted myself to use every card I wrote down.
This was the second deck that I thought of for this challenge a no counters control deck.
This deck has a load more synergy then the first but the first was just a burn variant.
Ok so I'll start with the creatures.
Gideon's Lawkeeper
just taps stuff down which is the underlying theme here. Goes very well with
Gideon's Avenger
. Can't buy flavor like that. And Fiend Hunter the thing that deals with dudes that are harder to deal with even if they are tapped.
Now the tapping control spells. First
Feeling of Dread
gotta love the ability to flash it back.
Downpour
omg the combat step nullifier. Yea dude you didn't want to attack me anyway.
Curse of Chains
probably my favorite with Gideon's Avenger out. And the granddaddy of them all
Sleep
. Go to sleep go to sleep go to sleep little creatures. Effectively the board wipe.
Now the non tapping control spells. Oblivion Ring and Detention Sphere the get that non creature thing out of here. And
Ice Cage
the nope that guy just sits there card.
And finally my favorite part the planes walker suite. Tamiyo, the Moon Sage is my little tapper of things and sometimes a draw engine.
Gideon Jura
is the powerhouse hard to kill finisher. And
Venser, the Sojourner
is my bouncer. Bouncing Detention Sphere and Oblivion Ring all over the place. Also, the ability to tap with Tamiyo, the Moon Sage blow it up with
Gideon Jura
and bounce Gideon with Venser to get loyalty back is all value all day. Now I'm going to tell you about my favorite combo the deck could pull off.

Sleep
exile that tap your dudes and goes back to my hand. So silly.
