For when I draw so many cards, and stuff.

Also ramp, I guess?

how do you feel about craterhoof behemoth? also i like your style my friend. i personally went for maelstrom in the dragon tribal theme but you got a vision and it's you riding your opponent's corpse down a mountain like some sort of human meat toboggan!

GRIND THEM INTO THE DIRT!

Also, yes, I do keep reminding myself to Craterhoof Behemoth. EXCEPT... then I see he doesn't cascade.

As of right, I have 3 cards that do not Maelstrom. Two of them require cast from hand to work, one of them is an Eldrazi God that is mostly Mill protection (though sometimes ... sometimes ... ).

Progenitor Mimic quickly gets out of hand. Animar, Soul of Elements gets stupid huge really quickly. Sylvan Library is a free ponder every turn, that is sometimes a free Ancestral Recall. Jace Beleren draws you a card every turn, and makes you some allies. You need some more ramp, Coalition Relic, Chromatic Lantern, Rampant Growth, Harrow, Farseek, Oracle of Mul Daya, Lotus Cobra, Sol Ring, Izzet Signet, Simic Signet and Gruul Signet all belong in here, and I would recommend investing in the Signets and Ring before anything else I have suggested. I realise some of the cards I suggested aren't cheap, but they are all definitely worth the cost of this is going to be your main EDH list.

The Progenitor Mimic and Animar, Soul of Elements have been on my watch list for some time, now. Mostly that mimic! Oracle of Mul Daya, as well! Animar and the oracle would be really nice ramp!

The rest of those things make me sad if I Maelstrom into them. I need every cascade to be useful, at all times. Ramp is not always helpful, unless it also has some P/T attached to it. Additionally, Sol Ring and signets do not belong in this deck at all. They are wasted slots every single time. Sad cascades. Always sad cascades. At least something like Farhaven Elf hits someone. Also green decks shouldn't need those kinds of things.

I should note that I can Maelstrom, fairly consistently, by turn 4 or 5, and in my meta that is kinda "bad" or "too fast." :p
