Hi! So my friend ajwaka wanted to make a self-mill deck, and I was trying to help him figure out the most effective way to do it. And then it hit me: Laboratory Maniac + Leveler . I made a control deck with that combo, found other cards that comboed with Laboratory Maniac, and made this deck.

• Laboratory Maniac - Our win condition.
• Leveler - Laboratory Maniac + Leveler is our main combo.

Instants Show

• Brainstorm - This has 2 uses here: early on, to find what we need, and after you have no cards in your library, to win.
• Counterspell - To stop whatever evil schemes your opponent is planning.
• Cryptic Command - this has so many uses, all of which are helpful. The countering and drawing are especially helpful in this deck.
• Remand - When your opponent tries to kill your Laboratory Maniac, play this, countering the removal, and drawing for the win.

Sorceries Show

• Preordain - More draw.
• Serum Visions - More draw.

Enchantments Show

• Thought Lash - Laboratory Maniac + Thought Lash is another way to win. Either you can win straight away with this if you have a Laboratory Maniac or if you don't have one you can wait and stall with its ability.

Lands Show

• Island - You can have any number in your deck, it costs no mana to play, and it taps for . Sounds pretty good to me.
• Halimar Depths - Fixes up our draws later on and also gives us .

Yeah, so that is the deck. The way to play it is to play Laboratory Manic and get rid of your library as soon as possible. Just always make sure you have a counterspell or two in hand or else you will end up killing yourself. If you want to have a cheaper version of the deck, take out Cryptic Command and Snapcaster Mage.
