Hey everyone, Novice here with another budget deck, this time only $25, and I pulled an out of the ordinary Standard buil, because I usually don't build in this dangerous format XD. Stick around, take a gander at the panels, make yourself at home. As always, have a good day, and I pray you never drop your cookie to the bottom of the cup. ;)

Also, because everyone uses a little salt now and then, this was built as a sort of "build off" between Magicrafter, The_Dragonmaster, and I. I'll be linking their decks at the bottom of the description, so if you feel like picking your favorite, make sure to leave a comment telling which you like the best :)

The Cards Show

What each card does for the deck.

Creatures

Is deck is called "Dragon Slayers" for a reason. And that is, the creatures here are all the first to the action (turn 1 drop) to take on the mighty dragon (your opponent). At first, they seem small and ineffective, but they get quite large, quite fast. Through a bit of fighting (turn 4) they are able to deal enough damage that rivals that of dragons (smash your opponent's face in).

- Satyr Hoplite is just one of three. He drops down on turn one, and with every spell you cast at him, he gets that much bigger with Heroic.

- Monastery Swiftspear is the second Dragon Slayer. With haste, she drops down turn one, and is ready to fit right off the bat. And let's not forget prowess, which makes her build very fast, even if she doesn't retain it like heroic, the benefit is that it doesn't have to be targeting her.

- Goblin Glory Chaser is the third and final, but don't doubt him. After his first hit, he gets that nifty +1/+1 and menace, giving him a nice little bit of evasion. He doesn't get bigger when spells are cast at him, but that menace and renown really help to make up for it.

Enchantments

All the enchantments are here to help make your Dragon Slayers that much bigger, so as to fell the monsters they face. They are great to trigger both heroic and prowess.

- Hammerhand is a great one mana enchant that serves as both utility to get damage through, helps deal damage earlier with haste, and gives a +1/+1 buff.

- Dragon Mantle not only gives your creature a nice little +1/+0 buff, but it also generates some card draw, which is awesome. But ya know what makes it even better? If you every have open mana, go ahead and spend it on its Firebreathing like ability.

- Thunderous Might is the two mana enchant. It will be granting your creature at least a +2/+0 buff, which for two mana isn't that great; however, it will usually be giving you a +3/+0, which is definitely better, but the coolest thing, is that it can keep getting bigger bonuses as your devotion grows.

Instants

The intants not only trigger heroic and prowess, but they also give some good temporary buffs for only one mana each.

- Titan's Strength of course this is in here. It gives your creature a good +3/+1 buff for only one mana, and it gives you some draw manipulation with scry. Just a great card all around.

- Rouse the Mob is another good one that gives your creature both an extra two damage that turn, but also trample, giving the Dragon Slayer an edge in the fight. It can also target multiple creature if you have the mana for it, which can come in handy.

- Coordinated Assault is another good one that not only gives a little bit extra damage, but also some protection with first strike. The even cooler thing is that it can target up to two creature, at no extra cost.

- Temur Battle Rage is a great spell that can double the damage done in one turn, or help clear a blocker while still hitting the opponent because of both the trample and doublestrike it can give.

Sodeboard

Alright, let's get something straight. Yes, the mainboard is seriously lacking in removal, but that is why the Sodeboard is here. The sideboard is an imperative part of this deck, and it is recommended you are using it in every single game so that you can get the removal needed. The only reason there is no removal mainboard, is because there was just so many good ones, I couldn't decide, so they all went into the sideboard so you can choose what you like yourself. Again, it is highly recommended you are using this in every game you play.

- Fiery Impulse, Rending Volley, Smash to Smithereens, and Wild Slash are all of the different choices you have in terms of removal to sub in. Pick whichever ones best suit the game, and then kick some dragon boo-tay.

- Blinding Flare helps to add give some damage guarantee, similar to how Hammerhand does. It comes in handy when you find that your opponent fills up their board fast.

The Need to Know's Show

These are the things you need to know before making suggestions, and in case the strategy is unclear.

The Strategy

Put down one of the dragon slayers turn one, and go off from there. Use the various enchantments and instants to make your creatures bigger, while also using the removal from the sideboard to keep your opponent's field clear. Get their life down from 20 to 0 as fast as possible: i.e. - Aggro.

Budget

This is a hyperbudget deck. What that means is that the deck price has to be $20 or less, and the sideboard (if applicable) has to be $5 or less. However, this deck was also asked to be made by mikeicke and if it has Tom it can go up to a max of $50 for the budget, but staying under is preferred.

Suggestions

If I feel a suggestion is poorly justified or explained, I will most likely ask you to elaborate. This isn't as much of a problem, because I can usually see why a card would make a good addition to a deck. Oh, and if I'm being stubborn (I'm usually not) be prepared to defend your reasonings on any cards very, very throughly (this is even a less seldom problem).
