Devotion to Hazoret

Standard Mono-Red

Seifer267

Saw a guy play something like this and also strictly better MTG add a deck like this to youtube. Figured I would actually give it a shot.

I moved away from straight burn, to using Key to the City to break through while getting heckbent for Hazoret. I'm not worried about dead drops since we discard so much. So far it's been great, but you want to try to keep 2 land hands with at least 1 creature and a buff or a discard spell. With so few burn spells, I've found Soul-Scar Mage lacking without menace. He is highly flingable, but I would rather have Insolent Neonate to break through and sac for a new card than Soul-Scar Mage. Fling is insane if you draw it at the right time, but I feel like in opening hands or the first 3 turns, it's a dead drop so I have kept it at 2.

Any advice would be helpful!
