I'm not much of a red mage, but I've decided that a burn deck might be fun. The maindeck is set for my local metagame, where control decks only make up maybe a sixth of the common decks. When facing those, the obvious substitutions come game 2 are Lava Axe + Young Pyromancer for Chandra's Outrage + Satyr Firedancer - this switches the deck from a control/burn deck to an aggro-token/burn.

Everything else in the deck should work nicely regardless of my opponents playing creatures or not. The rest of the sideboard is more situational. Electrickery (although I do wondering if Scouring Sands wouldn't be better; thoughts? I already have two scry spells in the maindeck) for the 1/1 token generator decks, and Peak Eruption for mirrors.

As a general rule, I try not to spend too much money when building a Standard deck; generally they're put together from cards I have, and maybe a few extra cards - I try not to spend more than $5 on a card, and then only when it's vital.

Just took this deck to it's first FNM. 2-2. All games went 2-1 one way or the other. Fun deck to play! Thinking of taking out two or three mountains though. Any thoughts on what to include?

Pulled two Chandras since M15 came out. They're in.
