First step done! —Feb. 12, 2015

After plenty of playtesting, I think Brago is at a point that I can say he is ready to be played officially. There's still more work to be done, but I think we're in a good place as is. Comments and suggestions appreciated as always, lets see if we can get this one as popular as Fire Walk With Me and The picture of Doran Gray!

Sunblast Angel doesn't work with Brago unless you're running mass vigilance.

Though, what if I bounce everything with when Brago hits and have Sunblast angel come down before anything else?

In fact, thinking about it, youll have to explain to me how that doesnt work, because the stuff I wouldnt bounve will untap on my upkeep before Brago hits, I can bounce brago himself, and nothing that gets bounced enters tapped.

Everything comes down at the same time and you stack the triggers how you want afterward. However, everything will be untapped and survive, BUT all equipments fall off Brago, if Brago has shroud he can't be bounced, and since all the permanents come in at the same time if you bounce all your creatures then any auras you bounce as well will be left in exile because they need a permanent in play they can attach to as they come in to play (Not entirely sure about that one, might warrent some further rule digging, but I'm of the opinion that auras are a bit weak when paired with Brago anyway, except maybe Gift of Immortality .).

Holy fuck run-on sentences.

Also I'm giving you a +1 simply for the name change. Now somebody needs to make a sea monster deck and call it Undertow.

Ok, I can see where you might be of that opinion, then. However, I think with the alternative ways to get the angel bouncing, gale powder mage, venser, dead-eye, etc., and having the option there should I need it more than having brago alive for a turn is reason enough to at least merir inclusion in initial testing. And of course if it fails my expectations from there on, I always have Palinchron to turn back to.

Thank you for the plus 1, I figured it might get some attention XD

Once I have the time to sit and work on the description I'll have to add even more of the vigor's flavor to it.

Hmmm....coming in after attacks does hurt it, though.

I'll just have to test it out and see where it goes.

Soul Warden and Soul's Attendant seems a bit underpowered for this deck. I'd go a little bit more aggressive and use maybe Rishadan Footpad and Rishadan Brigand .

Adding some more rocks like Gilded Lotus and Thran Dynamo might do you a lot of good especially if you have Future Sight .

Also, no Lavinia of the Tenth and Spine of Ish Sah ?

Here's my Brago deck Brago Shows Some Nasty!. Its built for multiplayer games but I think you might find some interesting cards in it that you can use.

It doesn't work that well with Brago, but Weathered Wayfarer is a great mana fixer in white and has horse... looking... thing, for flavor.

Yeah, I'm playing with the sisters and I think I've got their replacements lined up already, most likely Fiend Hunter and Lavinia of the Tenth .

I own a Future Sight , but I like it more in lower CMC decks like Melek, Izzet Paragon .

For mana rocks, I'll likely swap out Basalt Monolith with Sol Ring , but outside of that the acceleration I tend to get going doesn't leave me feeling at a loss for resources. If that changes with the deck, I've got a Gilded Lotus laying around that I can put in. I suppose Weathered Wayfarer sits in this boat now as well, for the moment.

I won't deny that Spine of Ish Sah is good, but I feel like experimenting will afford me something I enjoy more that it for that CMC range. If not, of course, I can always replace Scourge of Fleets later
