Commander 2014 —Nov. 3, 2014

I'm not the biggest fan of planeswalkers, and that seems to be the only real additions that Commander 2014 can provide for this deck.

Nahiri, the Lithomancer - Good, allowing me to get my equipment back, pooping out a token, or making an obscene sword.

Angelic Field Marshal - Also good, giving my creatures vigilance, and essentially being a 5/5 flying for 4.

Jazal Goldmane - Meh, overrun on a white creature. Kind of like a beefed up Mirror Entity really.

Red has Tyrant's Familiar, and that's pretty much it for the deck. Even that Familiar isn't that great in this deck because by the time I can cast him, the opponent is usually dead.

It seems like you could get away with the Splinter Twin and Village Bell-Ringer combo. There may also be a place for Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker in here. You could make an extra Inferno Titan, Sun Titan or Hero of Bladehold every turn.

Also, I have played with Soul of Theros . It's really quite good.

@KaraZorEl or I could have Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker out, use it's ability targeting Zealous Conscripts and then the Conscripts targeting Kiki-Jiki, making 3/3 haste creatures., Believe me, I thought of that combo a lot, yet decided that despite it essentially ending the game, it didn't really fit the direction I was going for the deck. Although having an extra Inferno Titan does souind really fun.

I did have Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker in the deck at one point in time, but he is most likely going to end up in a new commander deck I am working on.

Soul of Theros does look pretty good.

@ZombieCat Thanks for saying you like Aurelia! I recently changed out the cards, added in Thundermaw Hellkite and the Scourge of the Throne in replace of Skullclamp and Elixir of Immortality ; both good cards but the clamp really didn't help much. I never really tutored for it and the elixir was always blown to bits or pithing needled.

Deflecting Palm is too hilarous..

"Oh, you swing for 24 commander damage?"

plays Deflecting Palm

"Ha! Die by your own commander!"

I have a Bruna EDH deck that my friend plays.. a lot.

Zombiecat - Deflecting Palm does the damage, not the general. You will not kill someone by commander damage that way.

You're right, misread it. Sorry.

Now, if Traitor's Roar were in color and an instant yes...

Back on topic: have you considered Iroas, God of Victory and Puresteel Paladin ?
