Let's have some fun with this card.
This deck is built to invoke unexpected interactions involving Cathars' Crusade. I'm just going to explain them step by step. Spikes be warned: this deck is not for you. Johnnys and Timmys, please continue reading.
When multiple creatures enter the field simultaneously, each of them triggers Cathars' Crusade separately. But each of those effects will put a counter on all of our creatures. So casting Increasing Devotion will give us 5 tokens, then Cathars' Crusade puts 5 counters on each of them. 5 6/6 coming out of nowhere. Isn't that awesome. For this to work properly it is important that all creatures enter the field before the first instance of Cathars' Crusade's effect resolves. So casting two
Raise the Alarm
at once would not be optimal. We'd have to cast one, have it resolve, then when the triggers are on the stack cast the second.
Each instance of Cathars' Crusade's effect places one counter on each creature. Having N creatures enter means that 1 counter is placed on each creature N times. Why is that important? Because Hardened Scales. it will effectively double the counters produced because it replaces every counter-placing event separately.
Now we need to focus on using that power. Bramblewood Paragon gives all your creatures trample. The Birds of Paradise that we used to get the crusade going early are now loaded with counters. And they have flying.
In case the crusade is called off, maybe a well placed Abrupt Decay followed by a Surgical Extraction, we have a set of Geist-Honored Monks to deal heavy blows on the opponent. If we play them with Cathars' Crusade on the field, we can put the crusade's trigger on the stack before the monk's trigger goes on the stack to make sure all three receive three counters.
