This deck centers around Hornet's nest, which creates flying deathtouch creatures, one per point of damage taken. It has defender, and a low toughness number.

I designed this deck around equipment Darksteel Plate and similar equipment.

Since the tokens all fly, and have deathtouch, most just go straight to the player, since very few choose to block them.

I chose red/green because I wanted the instants to be able to either destroy the monsters that I can't, or to create hornets by causing damage to one of the nests.

There are also creatures like Zzur-Tara Druid and equipment like valadian longbow that can tap and do damage to target creature, not opponent.
