So it begins. Apparently someone pulled a Portuguese Amonkhet card in a MM3 pack. Here it is.
Dusk 2WW
Sorcery
Destroy all creatures with power 3 or greater
Dawn 3WW
Sorcery
Consequence - cast this spell only from your graveyard. Then exile it.
Return all creatures with power less than or equal to 2 from your graveyard to your hand.

Oh a Liliana...Cost: +2 Put a -1/-1 counter on up to one creature.
-3: Destroy target creature with a -1/-1 counter on it
-10: Return all creature cards from your graveyard to the battlefield...But why is she so bad?
March 29, 2017 2:07 p.m.
The_Traitor says... #3
She would be okay if she would enter the battlefield with 8 loyalty counters.
March 29, 2017 2:08 p.m.
JerichoDarkstar says... #4
That's the PlanesWalker Deck version of Liliana. She's designed to be... bad.
Just an intro for new players to kinda get the concept.
March 29, 2017 2:14 p.m.
The_Traitor, that's the planeswalker deck Liliana, she isn't supposed to be good.

JerichoDarkstarWhat is a Planeswalker Deck? I mean there is the Amonkhet Symbol isn't it?
March 29, 2017 2:16 p.m.
JerichoDarkstar says... #7
A PlanesWalker deck is just preconstructed deck Wizards makes for new players. It features that PlanesWalker as the flagship card, and there are two at launch with different PlanesWalkers.
Basically, it's the new Intro Packs, but it uses PW's instead of creatures.

The_Traitor says... #9
JerichoDarkstar Ah okay now i know what you are talking about. But i think it is the Amonkhet Symbol so...
March 29, 2017 2:21 p.m.
JerichoDarkstar says... #10
No, they are the same symbol, because the cards in the PlanesWalker decks are considered to be legal in AKH, even though you can only get them from the decks.
March 29, 2017 2:21 p.m.
So we are getting regular basics along with full art basics. Hmmm
March 29, 2017 3:13 p.m.
I may be a bit salty that the Invocations are only in foil. Oh how I would love to have a nonfoil Masterpiece in my EDH decks.

Nerevakiin says... #13
Would we be allowed to use actual bricks for counters at tournaments?
March 29, 2017 3:54 p.m.
I think so Nerevakiin. I mean, it would only be fair to Wizards, wouldn't it? After coming up with such a nice concept :D
(puts the pre release in a totally new light...my neighbours are building something, so I'd better collect some before hand)
March 29, 2017 3:58 p.m.
I know. It's wishful thinking. I love the design, even for its flaws. I just don't like foils in my 99 because of how easy they warp.
March 29, 2017 4:03 p.m.
New spoilers for the masterpieces over at Mythic Spoiler.
Some of my favorites previewed:
This link isn't working right now, but maybe it will come back up later. It's a video showing off Cryptic Command. These masterpieces look a lot better in person when you can really see the foiling and lettering on them.
edit: fixed some formatting.

Based on which gods appear in which spoilers, I think we can safely guess at all their colors:
Kitty - whiteCrocodile - blackSnek - greenBird - blueDoggo - red

Seriously, some places are preordering the new FOW at 400. Screw that. I'm not paying more than 130 for one of these.

The new Masterpiece "Invocations" are an awful mess frame-wise. Holy crap, how did they look at them and go "yeah, these look fine"??? Total shame because the artwork on them look so good, and they just cover up so much of it with large borders and shrinking the overall size of the art.
March 30, 2017 2:49 a.m. Edited.
I like these new masterpieces. They are a horrible mess, but it is something new and represent the last few vestiges of total creative freedom Wizards has. They have utterly wasted them by overdesigning the crap out of these.
The borders, the horribly illegible font, the artwork that looks like something out of Serious Sam 1, the random symbols that distract you from reading the card - just one of those is confusing enough, but all together they make a hot mess.
I started out liking these, but after more Careful Consideration, they deserve a big no. It feels like some intern in Wizards was told to design these with a deadline of one week. He had 7 ideas on how to do these and said "screw it, put them all on there!"
Compare any of these to the Sword of Feast and Famine or Platinum Angel and they fall flat on their face.
March 30, 2017 3:14 a.m.
Several days later i notice that if you try really hard you can read the card name on the new expeditions..

Found a fixed link showing off a Cryptic Command in-person:

I think the majority of players who see these invocations are all in agreement; the art is fantastic; the border is utter garbage. I wonder if WoTC is going to alter it before Hour of Devestation
March 30, 2017 8:33 a.m.
AgentGreen Its most definitely already printed and waiting to ship so its too late for changes. I don't really care about the new border, i probably wont get one anyways. But if i do, I'm not gonna keep it for sure. The frame hurts my soul.
March 30, 2017 11:20 a.m.
AgentGreen ... and now i realise "Hour of Devestation" is the next set. I thought it was your fancy way of saying release day lol :).
Changes to Hour of Devestation might be possible, but it would probably be a hassle so im not counting on it..
March 30, 2017 11:24 a.m.
AgentGreen says... #28
I agree changes are remote; but it may give WoTC some pause before they do something like this again.
Don't get me wrong, the idea of having a set of utra-rare cards that stand out, but there is a thing called too much creativity; and this is too much
March 30, 2017 12:22 p.m.
The_Traitor says... #29
Well I have to say that the Border doen't looks so cruel as a Card itself, because It's foil. I mean it does not looks good, but it's acceptable.
March 30, 2017 12:24 p.m.
AgentGreen: I personally scoff at the notion of "too much creativity." In my mind, there's no such thing.
In saying that, I do see where there will be issues, like the card names, and it took me a sweet while to find where the creature stats were.

I found this two theories of the Bolas Planeswalker(s).What do you think?
March 30, 2017 1:01 p.m.
JerichoDarkstar says... #33
So, does this reprint indicate we'll have some decent search engines?

GeminiSpartanX says... #34
Dang. I just bought a Mindcensor a few months ago for $8 :(

MagicalHacker says... #35
So I guess embalm is basically flashback for creatures? More than unearth already is?
March 30, 2017 1:29 p.m.
shinobigarth says... #36
embalm makes a token of the creature, which is a zombie, has no mana cost, and doesnt go away at end of turn. quite a bit different from unearth.

AgentGreen says... #37
The_Traitor We're not going to see Bolas until Hour of Devastation. I firmly believe that
March 30, 2017 2:31 p.m.
Linkdude74 says... #38
I'm of the same belief as well, which sucks because there's been so much build up for Bolas.

LittleBlueHero says... #39
Aven Mindcensor is in the set at rare as well... cool I guess?
March 30, 2017 2:44 p.m.
Mindcensor reprint with the "real" border is great! and the new art is pretty nice :)
March 30, 2017 3 p.m.
Hamster2558 says... #41
I honestly love the way they are doing the invocations. They are showing tons of creativity with the art and borders. I will be happy to pull some or maybe even buy some in the future.

LittleBlueHero says... #42
So I have always been a huge fan of Crocodiles and Alligators they are two of my favorite animals, really anything reptilian.
Given how important Crocodiles are to Egypt I am really hoping for some sort of Legendary Crocodile.
Perhaps that God will be "Crocodile God" Lol

AwezomePozzum says... #43
Mindcensor will be great for Frontier, if anyone cares about that anymore.

AngryKitten says... #44
I'm excited about the gods as well but those invocations look not great....the video does make them look better but I still want to see one in person before I decide if I like them or not.

REALLY?! This is a thing?! Seriously, wizards stop kicking us control players while we're down. Jeez. Miscalculation better be in this freaking set, or better yet, Counterspell. Other than that, I can't think of a reason this card would be so damn hateful. Maybe Dusk/Dawn might actually be playable in Amonkhet standard. Yuck. Make me believe there's hope, wizards. Make me believe again.
March 30, 2017 6:05 p.m.
Hardhitta7 says... #48
If Counterspell was reprinted in Standard I would literally die. It's probably not likely at all though. Lol
I am a control player, but even I will admit that card is badass. I mean a 4/3 for 3 is good on its own, then add in the extras.

I just wanted to play bant dyavolt, wizards, I just wanted to durdle.

Only a good constructed sideboard; but it's a solid beater in limited
Wow. I know alot of players who will cry when this thing hits the ground
