I plan to post and add Archetypes I'm looking for in sealed to draft. Please comment on or add anything you like. I have been drafting and doing sealed for a few years now. By no means am I an expert and I welcome all input/suggestions!

B/G -1-1 Counters

I'm hoping to see Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons. As an early drop he cruves well into the cards that give -1/-1 counters.

To me this looks like a sacrifice deck. You can utilize early drops like Doomed Dissenter, Festering Mummy, and Oashara Cultivator. These are targets for the bigger creatures that cast ahead of curve but require putting -1/-1 counters on your creatures.

Exemplar of Strenght and Defiant Greatmaw look like the best of the bunch at uncommon.

Splendid Agony looks to be key and I hope this deck pairs well with casting cheap Bone Picker.

Is Nest of Scarabs a trap? It looks like it could be good. How many would you want in a deck? Interested to hear your thoughts and ideas on other archetypes.

U/B Cycling

Archfiend of Ifnir and Curator of Mysteries look like great bomb rares for the archetype. Shadow of the Grave looks like a rare you get late in the draft that offers great value for this deck.

I feel like Faith of the Devoted and Drake haven are great build around enchantments.

Horror of the Broken Lands is a decent curve topper that cycles for cheap and Hekma Sentinels offer a nice mid game threat.

Scarab Feast, Censor, Hieroglyphic Illumination, and Compelling Argument all cycle for one mana. It makes me wonder if Grixis is a viable option with the ability to fill the graveyard with instants and sorceries.

Warfire Javelineer, Flameblade Adept, and Enigma Drake look like good additions to the deck if you go three colors, or even U/R. I feel like blue is the main color that makes this Archetype work.

G/W/R Exert

It looks like you can do any of the two color combos and with color fixing in green you could do Naya.

Glorybringer looks like the bomb rare you want. I will look for

Red: Trueheart Twins and Nef-Crop Entangler

White: Tah-Crop Elite and Gust Walker

Green: Hooded Brawler and Bitterblade Warrior

Honored Crop-Captain will boost the team but Ahn-Crop Captain is the card I want in this deck! Djeru's Resolve, Synchronized Strike, Spidery Grasp, and Haze of Pollen will enable you to Exert, survive the counter strike, and exert again.

Do you want to keep the curve low? is there a bette way to play this deck? I know I'm missing something!

U/W Tokens

I'm not exactly sure if this is a viable archetype. There are a few token generators and Embalm which make me think its worth looking for.

Oketra the True, Anointed Procession, Regal Caracal, and Temmet, Vizier of Naktamun push tokens at RARE/MYTHIC

Oketra's Monument might be a decent token generator if you have enough creatures in your deck.

Aven Wind Guide looks like the pay off card.

If you are able to get some of the enablers above then I would look for common embalm cretures to fill out the deck. Anointer Priest, Unwavering Initiate, Sacred Cat and maybe Tah-Crop Skirmisher

Perhaps Drake haven with a focus on cycling and token is a sub theme of the U/W cycling deck? I'm curious to hear if anyone else thinks this is a viable strategy.

B/R Heckbent

There are a handful of cards here that get better the less cards you have in your hand or even AS you discard them.

Archfiend of Ifnir, Hazoret the Fervent, Neheb, the Worthy, and Merciless Javelineer all seem like they could take the lead in a deck chock full of good cycling cards like Sweltering Suns and cards that only want one or less cards in hand like Horror of the Broken Lands and Pitiless Vizier...

May be a stretch but could still be fun if you can pull it off. I also don't see a lot of those cards going early because its a less obvious archetype combined with the sorta suicidal approach can keep people away.

Also if you are lucky enough to snag Neheb you could build this with a minotaur subtheme since a lot of the cards that work well here are also cows

It seems like the archetypes are (sort of) in wedges. Esper appears to have zombies, between all the white and black offerings, plus the blue creatures that also have Embalm. Grixis largely appears to be discard/cycling. Jund seems to have the lion's share of -1/-1 counters effects. Naya has all the Exert creatures. And finally, Bant has tokens, between Embalm (in W/U) and the tokens green can make. Obviously, there are other archetypes beyond this, but this is my early impression.

@LittleBlueHero Interesting Archetype! Bloodrage Brawler looks great as the two drop in this deck. It curves well with Flameblade Adept or Bloodlust Inciter. To bad it's not a 3/4 instead of a 4/3. There are a lot of 3 power creatures at the three drop slot that blank it.

Anyone go to prerelease? What worked for you? Any specific interactions or synergies?
