Warfire Javelineer

Creature — Minotaur Warrior

When Warfire Javelineer enters the battlefield, it deals X damage to target creature an opponent controls, where X is the number of instant and sorcery cards in your graveyard.

Hyperalgialysis if you check my "Cards Already Considered" list you'll find all those Madness cards have already been looked at.

Rhys_Fahey I can only put so many Minotaur cards in this deck.

I prefer what all the other ones offer, compared with the two you mentioned.

Particularly Warfire Javelineer, as it's very situational.

Combat Celebrant is a no go. The synergy between Metallic Mimic, Neheb, the Worthy, and all the other Minotaurs is the heart of this deck.

Would Pitiless Vizier work in your deck?

With Neheb (the Worthy) he would be a 4/2 first strike that can also become indestructible, and with 1 or 0 cards in hand he's a 6/2 first strike

Warfire Javelineer could be good in your deck as well as removal (depending on how many instants/sorceries are in the graveyard) and a creature.

Combat Celebrant might be worth checking out as well if you don't mind having a couple of humans. Having an extra combat step is always helpful for aggro

I'm not 100% sure if these are good for the deck because I'm not the best at deck building, but they seem like pretty good things to put in

elijah_dog6,
This looks really fun!

Have you tried Enigma Drake? It seems like it might be better than Warfire Javelineer) in the sideboard.

Also, how much work have you done on the sideboard manabase? Because you don't need the Red until late, you could maybe free up some sideboard slots or add some useful tapped-lands. I've no idea what the right mix is, but Aether Hub (in the main), Wandering Fumarole, and Evolving Wilds may all have a role.

Draw well!

Since you're not running a whole lot of instants and sorcerys, I would cut Warfire Javelineer. Also, since Neheb, the Worthy is legendary, I would take one of him out and just run 3. Now with 3 cards being cut I would run 2 more Cursed Minotaur because menace is great and an extra Cut for that extra removal and possible drain life in the late game.

As an expert on this type of deck I would suggest adding Warfire Javelineer, Bloodrage Brawler, Ahn-Crop Crasher, Emberhorn Minotaur, Minotaur Sureshot, Cursed Minotaur, Pitiless Vizier, and Merciless Javelineer. I would also take out the filler like Coat of Arms, Door of Destinies, Anthem of Rakdos, Gratuitous Violence, Necropotence, No Mercy, Phyrexian Arena, and Rain of Gore

U/B Cycling

Archfiend of Ifnir and Curator of Mysteries look like great bomb rares for the archetype. Shadow of the Grave looks like a rare you get late in the draft that offers great value for this deck.

I feel like Faith of the Devoted and Drake haven are great build around enchantments.

Horror of the Broken Lands is a decent curve topper that cycles for cheap and Hekma Sentinels offer a nice mid game threat.

Scarab Feast, Censor, Hieroglyphic Illumination, and Compelling Argument all cycle for one mana. It makes me wonder if Grixis is a viable option with the ability to fill the graveyard with instants and sorceries.

Warfire Javelineer, Flameblade Adept, and Enigma Drake look like good additions to the deck if you go three colors, or even U/R. I feel like blue is the main color that makes this Archetype work.

clayperce good callouts! All of those will be valuable assets in sealed. I like all the cards on the list that kill a creature and do other stuff as well, like Warfire Javelineer, Cartouche of Strength, and Glorybringer. Those tend to be so powerful in sealed. I also agree that Enigma Drake will be good. Late game, in a control-oriented sealed deck, he could be a 8/4 flying for 3! It's fun to see a 2HG player going through cards that could be good for that format since I never play it. That cycling one would be super deadly.

Another uncommon not mentioned yet is Scaled Behemoth. That guy will be tough to deal with. 7 toughness and can't be targeted. With any sort of boost or combat trick, he could be lethal.

Shwang,
Ok, Exemplar of Strength is my vote for best Common/Uncommon, and Glorybringer for best overall.

Here are some more thoughts though on my favorite Commons/Uncommons:
