Are you getting any Magic items for Christmas 2015?

Last year I was lucky enough to be surprised with a foil Stormbreath Dragon for Christmas.
I haven't made any requests for Magic-related presents this year but I would love a new bag for holding all my gear.
Have you got any Magic wishes you'd like Santa to fulfil?
I couldn't think of anything besides getting my girlfriend to forgive me, so I just asked for a KTK booster box.

JUST a KTK Booster Box?
That's one hell of a present. I opened some KTK packs today and got a Bloodstained Mire so there's a good likelihood of you getting at least a couple of fetches.

My family doesn't want to support my 'addiction', so every time I ask for magic-related things it falls on deaf ears. This year I just asked for gift cards from tcgplayer, so hopefully they won't look too closely and realize that it's magic-related lol.
(I'm not actually 'addicted', I just never want to buy anything for myself besides magic singles).

Shhhhh I've gotta find out who is naughty (Despoiler of Souls) and who is nice (Gideon, Ally of Zendikar) in many different ways since the onset of the digital age.

Probably going to invest in a few ABUR duals. Scrubland for sure; I need five of them lol (one for my EDH deck and four for a Legacy project I want to start building). Maybe a Badlands and a Plateau as well, probably another Scrubland and all three would go towards my Alesha, Who Smiles at Death duel commander deck.

Fruitcake Elemental, the gift that keeps on giving :-)

GeminiSpartanX same! My parents are like "you spend way too much money on it you could be buying other things instead and we refuse to support you" so I'm basically screwed lol

My family gets horrified when they remember I've spent something like $400 on League of Legends skins. I try to explain to them that although that may sound crazy, the amount is actually spread out over the 160 days worth of game time I've accumulated over three and a half years so it's not that insane. After all, something like going to the movies costs way more in terms of $/hour. Then they freak out that I've logged in 160 days worth of games.

So yeah... Not expecting anything at all this Christmas. I'm certainly not in a position to give away anything. Well my friend did gift me Dragon Trainer Tristana, which was super nice of him.

I'll be giving one of my friends a resealed MM2 pack that I've made that has 14 regular and one foil Comet Storms in it.
As for things that are on my wishlist, I just want to play modern. Santa, please alter the SCGOpen schedule to come to chicago with a modern tournament in two weeks. Thx.

ThisIsBullshit- IKR?! I can also tell you from personal experience that it doesn't get any better once you're married and out of the house. Even with a good job, these wonderful things called 'responsibilities' get in the way of me buying every modern deck that I want to play all at once. That plus your spouse just replaces your parents as far as people telling you that you need to spend less on magic. (Don't get me wrong though, marriage is awesome!)

You're doing it wrong.
I introduced my hubby to Magic through a looooong process. It took over a year.
Now he's convinced that playing games is "time well spent together" instead of watching TV.
We play once a month at our house with friends, so it seems very social.
We also go to our LGS each Wednesday and have dinner together beforehand so it SEEMS like time spent out of the house with each other.
Little does he know ...

Argeaux- Oh trust me I've tried. My wife just doesn't enjoy playing games in general, no matter the type (with a certain VERY few exceptions). She doesn't want to invest the effort into learning any sort of strategy as far as magic goes, and she gets frustrated easily so teaching her is tough. Although if she spent a fraction of the time playing/learning magic with me as she does watching anime, she'd be a pro tour competitor lol.

We started with the 30 card beginner decks and played the hell out of them.
Then I got the Dual Deck Anthology and we played the Goblins vs Elves decks to death.
We played like that for about six months and then Hubby came along to a pre-release. Luckily he enjoyed that.
Soon after he asked if I could help him build a deck. He wouldn't play it in any tournaments to the point where I just dragged him down to play one night. He came second. First tournament. Show off.
So of course that got him hook, line, and sinker.
Now he's built four decks and looks forward to trying out different colors and styles every time. Tonight he announced out of the blue that he is going to play
for the next expansion.
We have set up one of those pre-made Commander decks for him, too. Playing that with friends this Thursday.

Commander's great for hooking people in permanently. Once you make playing the game a regular occasion done with good friends over food and drinks, it becomes much more of an event than before.

I haven't really told my parents what I want for the holidays. My phone has been alternating between brick-status and fine, so I might upgrade before it permanently becomes a paper weight. I may try for a BFZ fat pack because I've wanted to start collecting the boxes, but we'll see.
I hear you on the skins in league, TheDevicer. I only have a few, but that's a few too many in my parents' eyes. My dad's line of work can involve the world of virtual goods, so he somewhat gets it.

Argeaux- That sounds pretty great. You're lucky to have other couples/friends who play nearby. Maybe if I buy a box and host my own sealed event with a few friends, I can get her to come to the next prerelease in January if I'm lucky.

I've noticed people in general (that don't play magic) aren't particular fans of giving mtg related gifts, but I'm going for a piratelabs case to travel around with.
And 4 Stitch in Time, because it's a hilarious card.
Plus some singles to finish out my commander decks... But I doubt I'm going to get them.
New idea: MTG advent calendar. You select a format, then each day, you get a fifty cent fun card for that format. It's cheap and fun to look forward to!

rorofat, we're totally doing a Magic advent calendar this year, with a bunch of cheap packs. Results (so far!) are over at Best. Advent Calendar. Evar.

I asked for a Conspiracy booster box so I can have a run draft time with friends.
Secretly hoping for either Dack Fayden or Brainstorm
. Mostly Dack Fayden.

Well my expedition was only a Breeding Pool so, I feel like I got ripped off because it wasn't a Scalding Tarn...
So I deserve a Dack Right? :-P

Coinman1863,
I'm thinking there's only one guy who knows for sure. And he's probably making a list and checking it twice, even as we type ...

Hmmm... Well, I hope I make enough money to pay rent. That would allow me to derp around here some more. So in a roundabout way, maybe?
