Looking to make some new changes —Nov. 2, 2015

With Commander 2015 coming around, I'm looking to make a few adds, but I really don't know what cuts I should be making for them. All thoughts and constructive criticism are appreciated.

I'm looking to put Hateflayer and Maze of Ith in, any thoughts?

I'm glad you liked it, it's pretty fun to play in real life, too. Let me know if you think anything in the deck is underperforming, and I'll consider it for my next changes.

Also, I added a few more Dragons, like Balefire Dragon, Scourge of the Throne, Atarka, World Render, and Hellkite Tyrant. They should play really nice with Xenagos, especially the Scourge and Atarka.

Cream of the Crop really does work in my Xenagos deck, and Deus of Calamity always trades well or hits hard. Hydra Omnivore helps knock the entire table down, making other threats all the more dangerous. And no love for Hull Breach?

Hydra Omnivore is great in Xenagos decks with a potential of minimally 16 damage to everyone which is just awesome, just give it double strike and you are golden. Maze of Ith really depends on your meta. It is good against voltron commanders and any decks hoping to suit up one or two guys but if you are facing a token army it's not going to help you.Hateflayer is interesting as well. If you Xenagos it then you have the potential to attack for 10 then hit for 10 to any creature or player. I think yes on Hateflayer because of it's synergy with xenagos. Maze of Ith depends on your meta. Love this build though

Looks like a pretty sweet deck. I just made a Xenegos EDH deck as well. It only does 3 things, draw (15 cards), ramp (15 cards) and attack. It's real mean. I only played one game with it so far but was able to attack for 40 on turn 4...

Forgotten ancient, Taurean Mauler, and stalking vengeance are always good cards to consider, especially if you are playing with a large group. Fatal frenzy, souls fire, assault probe and fling can smash face quite fast as well plus reduce the mana curve of this type of deck... Example: hydra omnivore 8/8 with xenegos ability 16 fatal frenzy or berserk 32 trample to all opponents. Fling for another 32 to someone's face...

Thanks for the suggestions, and I like some of those cards, but this deck is the one I have the hardest time making cuts with, do you have any suggestions in the way of cuts?

Also, I'd like to mention how good Temur Battle Rage is, it's pretty much between Berserk and Fatal Frenzy mana-wise with the same effect, sans sacrifice/destroy effect. I haven't found room in my deck for it just yet, though.

I'm pretty sure Akroma's Memorial prevents you from targeting any of your creatures with Xenagos.

Yeah, I'd actually taken it out of my deck for that reason. It's currently sitting in my Surrak, Puncher of Bears deck, where it feels more useful.

Omnath, Locus of Mana sounds like he could work here. Use mana from attacking with Savage Ventmaw to power him up.

Sylvan Library goes hand in hand with Abundance. You get to choose what you need times three. If you need two lands and a non land, sure. If you need three lands, sure. This combo was ridiculous in my old bory deck.

Yup, that's why I run it in my Xenagod deck!
