#1 in Commander/EDH & a Brand New Section —March 16, 2019

Achieved #1 position in Commander/EDH on 16 Mar 2019. Thank you everyone for your support and suggestions!

Added a new "Chronicles of War" section to the Primer to document interesting game plays so that readers can better understand how I pilot this deck.

Really nice list for Yennett. (I also really like the design of the page, you made a lot of efforts).

I don't play Yennett, so I don't have good recommandations, but I'm thinking about building one (thanks to your list).

Kizder Glad you like the list and the page design!

Feel free to link up with me if you start building an Yennett deck, I'd be glad to provide my humble inputs where applicable.

Do leave an upvote too as support for the deck/page that I spent a lot of effort building. Cheers!

I am surprised that the #1 Yennet deck creator found my little old Sphinx tribal deck. Sphinxes and conundrums are what I play. I would love to get your advise on how to improve this. I am Vorthos in nature but I do like powerful cards. However this one is quite fun.

You might wish to consider Moat and Castle . Overwhelming Splendor might also be worthy to consider. Painful Truths is good card draw. Debt to the Deathless might also be something to add to this deck. Other than that I have nothing to add.

I hope I have been of some help to you.

Ravenrose I always welcome suggestions as I feel there are always room for upgrades, especially when new sets are being released and more interesting interactions may pop up.

I figured, instead of asking the community at large, why not get fellow Yennett players to chip in. After all, who else knows Yennett better than us!

Interesting suggestions you gave. I've honestly never come across some of them prior. Will give them some thought alongside the suggestions that'll hopefully pour in over time.

Feel free to ping me if you need my humble suggestions and inputs. I'd be glad to assist to the best of my capabilities and knowledge. Cheers!

Cloudius

Well I would like your input on my Sphinx deck. Maybe I missed something that is powerful and fits the theme. Any time.

Ravenrose Sure, give me some time to digest the deck before coming back with suggestions. Are there any aspects of it that you'd like to improve or for me to focus on?

Hey. Thanks for the up vote! Your deck looks solid! I would def move enlightened tutor to the main board some how.

maston07 You're welcomed and thanks for the compliments and upvote too!

Yes, I've always been trying to find a spot for Enlightened Tutor to no avail as the deck is already very tight. I only run 1 enchantment ( Penance which is just an enabler) so the tutor's main targets would be Proteus Staff or Isochron Scepter , both of which are my key wincons. At the moment, I've been relying on the other tutors (e.g. the various transmute spells like Muddle the Mixture , Dimir Machinations or Inventors' Fair or the good old Fabricate ) to fetch them in times of need.

What would you recommend be removed to make room for Enlightened Tutor ?

Heya Cloudius in regards to your previous post. I would definitely support Enlightened Tutor into main board, the cut I would consider would be Crystal Ball .

A couple reasons why is that you would have access to Scroll Rack as well, with the amount of fetches you run you can essentially manipulate your library as well. Not only that a T1 E-tutor can grab you any of the fast mana rocks as well. If you have access to them you can grab Sensei's Divining Top and continue your manipulation.

It also adds to the consistency of what you can grab and opens up many lines of answers for you and streamlines the deck even more. In retrospect the Scry 2 from Crystal ball is decent but you have to pay than an additional before you can gain use of it.

Hope that gives a little perspective on my thoughts :P

You've probably already thought of it but Slaughter the Strong is cheap, odd, and pierces indestructible (and regeneration) while leaving Yennet alive. Obviously not super reliable nor strictly better than any of your existing wipes though.
