Good thoughts. Chancellor I'm having way too much fun playing; he is good aerial defense and occasionally ramps me up very nicely.

You're right, Creeping Corrosion is basically only good against Tempered Steel , but it is SO good against Tempered Steel that I am reluctant to get rid of it. I run into the ol' Steel decks with some regularity, and immediately destroying them with one spell is just too good.

I DO have a heavy top end of the curve in this deck for sure. I would like to have four Rampant Growth s in there, but I'm not entirely sure what to cut. Viral Drake and Mayor of Avabruck  Flip  FlipMTG Card: Howlpack Alpha are the most likely candidates, but both of these cards have proved useful far too often in the past. Viral Drake is one of my few aerial stoppers, and the Mayor is just an excellent pressure play against control decks early on. I might cut one mayor though.

Regarding Mana Leak , I am perhaps irrationally paranoid about using it in a metagame so full of control decks. I worry about those "everyone has 20 lands out" situations, which I seem to run into a good bit. Maybe I should play with Mana Leak a bit and see how I like it.

Can you list how you use your side board with details about what you take out and what you put in for what kind of decks and what-not?

Thank you much. Seeing as how it has been harder for me to pick up the Garruk, Primal Hunter 's, i replaced him with Garruk Relentless  Flip  FlipMTG Card: Garruk, the Veil-Cursed. i find that not only is he my cheaper fix, he is also a great winnie removal (he shines against my friends tempered steel/hawkward deck.) after killing on of your opponents creatures, he becomes a flexible tool to kill tokens, or Acidic Slime with his second ability, allowing to pull from deck the right creature. i use that tactic as such, sacrifice token for acidic, cast acidic, usually blowing up a land, rinse; repeat. at anytime the Viral Drake can come out for aerial defense and proliferation of Garruk Relentless  Flip  FlipMTG Card: Garruk, the Veil-Cursed. finally getting the Moldgraf Monstrosity to hand and casting then sacrificing and hopefully hitting the multiple Acidic Slime 's from the grave. Once i started running the deck like that, i decided that i would add a Genesis Wave . i made room for it by -1 Volition Reins , which is a great card, but i feel that two will do just fine right now. on another note i did however minus 1 Stoic Rebuttal for a Beast Within (which seemed like a great idea to me after reading a comment above). it is not only good on opponents permanents, but can help fuel your own grave and give you a 3/3 easily. i side 3 more Beast Within 's and 1 Bramblecrush . i made room for that by taking the Creeping Corrosion 's out. artifact decks aren't that big of a meta at my local shop. besides if i cant counter something right then, than i should at least be able to destroy it. That allows room for my counter spells to be saved for instant and sorcery cards that could change the game.and on a side note, i -1 Stoic Rebuttal and +1 Mana Leak . seems to be play testing good so far.
