Nice take on Teysa. I like her ability a lot and she's one of my favouritve cards of all!

It seems like you're creating a lot of tokens... What about Divine Visitation ? Nim Deathmantle can be used as a phenomenal recursion pice (and can go infinite with Elenda, the Dusk Rose . Dream Devourer showed hinself as a wonderful ramp-piece which also protects your cards from discarding or similar effects.

Which experiences do you have with Martyr's Bond ? It seems pretty slow with that high cmc. Does it perform well?

My first eve deck is a take on Teysa too. Maybe you wanna have a look:

Yeah, teysa is a lot of fun. Win or lose, I always enjoy playing this deck.

As for your suggestions.

  • Divine Visitation - I actually just dropped this card out of the deck because I wanted to focus purely on the aristocrats strategies and combos that go with it. In all the games I've played, it was only useful once for me.
  • Nim Deathmantle - I've been eyeballing this card for a bit. So I will definitely have to playtest it now. I'm assuming the infinite combo with elenda works if you have Ashnod's Altar to sac the tokens to?
  • Dream Devourer - love this card, I run it in my nekusar deck and it performs beautifully. I'll have to check it out in this deck as well.
  • Martyr's Bond - this actually does great. The cmc is only 1 higher than Dictate of Erebos and it's worth it since it covers all nonland permanents you control. With all the treasure tokens this deck can make. You can wipe out all opponents mana rocks, or someone removes removes a combo piece, they lose something in return. It's been good value for me.
  • I will check out your deck when I get a chance. Thanks again for the suggestions.

Kamerot While I play the original Teysa (with this one in the 99), I agree with your comments on Divine Visitation and Martyr's Bond . The latter is always good, especially with Smothering Tithe and Pitiless Plunderer , and while DV is a great card and better in Teysa, Orzhov Scion than here, I moved it to my Ranar the Ever-Watchful deck where it will get more value.

Guerric that's a great call. One of my friends just made a raynar deck and I don't think he added that in. I'll have to mention it to him.

Kamerot, gave me some good ideas here for my Liesa deck. Always nice to come across a deck that is well planned.

I love Dictate of Erebos in aristocrat decks, easy way to keep opponents boards clear and get even more death triggers

EchoSpice yep, early on the deck ran that along with gravepact and Martyr's Bond, ultimately I decided to drop dictate in favor of more damage triggers.

Housegheist glad you like the deck and thank you for taking the time to comment.

    1. I ran Divine Visitation when I first made the deck, I rarely attack and when I play this deck and opt to kill through aristocrat combos. So I ended up only using it to combo with Requiem Angel and a sac outlet, and eventually dropped it altogether.

    2. Nim Deathmantle I added in last year and has been amazing.

    3. Dream Devourer is in my maybe list and I've just been too lazy to get a copy to test out, but it will be tested eventually.

    4. Martyr's Bond has been great. I find the 6cmc worth it because it affects all nonland permanents. So my opponents have to lose their important enchantments/artifacts to destroy my combo pieces and since this deck has pretty good treasure generation, I can keep my opponents mana rocks off the field most games.

And I will absolutely take a look at your deck sometime today.
